''Lucienne Lumière!!
[/size][/b] Every night I go
Every night I go sneakin' out the door
I lie a little more
Baby I'm a helpless
There's something 'bout the night
And the way it hides all the things I like
Little black butterflies
Deep inside me
Every night I go sneakin' out the door
I lie a little more
Baby I'm a helpless
There's something 'bout the night
And the way it hides all the things I like
Little black butterflies
Deep inside me
Hold the press!!
Don't go wasting all your applause just yet, save some for Hannah. They have been treading the floorboards for exactly 18 years and they have been totally female!! She has been in the spotlight roughly a while!, and they're loving it!!
And now for the good stuff!!
We have a new kid on the block, going by the name of Lucienne Lumière, but only their mother calls them that; you can call them Luci, Luce! Rumour has it this dudette is a totally hoopy frood; so Mum's, lock up your sons and daughters!! They've been cruising the streets of Paris for 61 years now, after coming into this god forsaken world on Eleventh of February, ‘48.
Here's the vitals!!
Race:: Vampyre
Special Abilities:: Invisibility. This is the ability to not be seen.
Intuitive aptitude. The ability to understand the structure and operation of complex systems without special education or training. Basically, it means that she understands how anything works just by looking at it. Lucienne has the ability to pick up any instrument and play it to a professional level without thinking about it. If she hears a piece of music, she can play it or sing it perfectly. She can also read a book on computers or mechanics and then be able to build a computer or car from scratch. This ability leaves her with a hunger for knowledge and she is always analysing everything.
Family:: Family of Blood
Position in the Family:: French Court Ambassador
The physical!!
The hair:: She has blonde hair that falls just below her shoulders. It’s constantly messy, no matter what she does, so she doesn’t really bother with it.
The eyes:: She has chocolate brown eyes.
The body:: She’s average height, reaching around five foot six. She’s fairly slim, but not to the point of looking anorexic. She has curves and she’s proud of them!
The style:: Lucienne will wear anything, and wear it well. When she’s in Court, she’ll wear elegant, formal dresses to amuse Dove, but when she goes out, she’ll wear as little as possible and look amazing.
The looks::
Lucienne is small, blonde and cute. And she knows it. She’ll play it up when she wants to be and can somehow manage to look innocent and naïve even when she’s wearing next to nothing. She is starting to be able to use her body and sexuality as a weapon to get what she wants, but it’s a bit hit and miss at the moment, much to her annoyance; she’s never not been good at something the first time she tried.
The mental!!
The likes:: Music, computers, cars, bikes, gadgets, reading, sex, attention
The dislikes:: Fading into the back ground, prejudice, having nothing to do,
The hopes:: For the stupid segregation thing that’s going on to stop. To keep her party life style and stay popular. To find her Life Mate. To learn how to do more stuff.
The fears:: To lose Dove as a friend. To be sent back to France. To be tied to one person forever. For her Life Mate to be a control freak.
The talents:: She can play any instrument put in front of her with little effort. She can build a computer, car, bike ... pretty much anything, with little effort. She’s an excellent judge of character.
The bad habits:: She’ll tend to analyse people without realising it. She’ll take something apart to understand how it works. She’ll sing or hum or drum a beat on the nearest surface when she’d bored.
The attitude::
Lucienne is an attention seeker, there’s no two ways about it. She loves being in the lime light and will do anything to make sure she stays there. She’s very sexual, being both a child of the sixties and French (we don’t stereotype here, honest ... )and has struggled to get used to the English idea of there only being one person for you and that they control who and what you do. Whilst she is desperate to find her Life Mate, she doesn’t want someone to have that much control over her.
The rest!!
The parents:: Nadège and Phillippe le Jour
The siblings:: Edouard, Jean-Luc, André and Renée le le Jour
The others::
Sire:: Marc Lumière
‘Mother’:: Valérie Lumière
‘Siblings’:: François, Louis, Jacques and Chantal Lumière
The social class:: Upper class
The history::
Lucienne was born in Paris in 1948, to Nadège and Phillippe le Jour. She was the youngest of four children and a much wanted daughter. She grew up in their chateau not far from the city. She can’t exactly remember what her parents did for a living, but whatever it was, it earned them a fortune. They must have been fairly famous or something, because whenever they went out people would stare at them. Her older brothers hated the attention, but she loved it.
Other than that, she lived a fairly normal childhood. She did well in school, especially in Music and was popular with her peers. She always had a long line of admirers, which quickly turned into a long line of boyfriends and, unknown to her parents, girlfriends. By the time she was seventeen, she’d been sneaking out of the house and into the bars and clubs in the city for years. The ‘60s were in full swing and she fully intended to enjoy them.
This was where she met Marc Lumière. She’d been sat in one of the smaller bars for a few hours, getting steadily more drunk. Her group of friends were already past it and they were starting to lose their amusement factor when he walked in. As they had been sat near the door, her group were the first to see him and fall silent, but it eventually spread to practically the whole bar.
He was stunning, in that kind of “I’ll kick you if you try anything” kind of way.
After a few seconds, the live seeped back into the bar and everyone went back to what they were doing previously. Lucienne worked her way to the bar to get another round in for her friends, and she was immediately cornered by Marc. They chatted and flirted for a while and he managed to persuade her to come back to his, though to be honest there wasn’t much persuasion needed.
On the ride there, things got a little heated though for some reason she couldn’t fathom, he refused to kiss her. They got to his and were joined by another woman. Alarm bells started to ring, but one look at the woman calmed her fears. They kissed her, passing her to each other before she had chance to explore them fully and slowly undressed her.
Then Marc bit her. The pain was horrendous, but the woman quickly started to take her mind off of it. She quickly got light headed, but she couldn’t work out the reason behind it. Was it the fact she was quickly losing blood, or because of what the woman was doing to her? Maybe it was both.
Just as she was about to pass out, the door burst open. There were angry shouts and rushed conversations, none of which Lucienne could make out. It was too much effort to even keep her eyes open at this point, the darkness was closing in and, with a sigh, she let it overwhelm her.
She knew she was dead. She had to be, so why could she feel something warm and thick flowing down her throat? She could feel it settling in her lungs and tried to cough it up, but she couldn’t, she was too weak. All she could do was swallow the rest of the liquid pouring into her mouth.
After a few minutes of this, her body started to freeze and burn at the same time. She tried to struggle, to move away from whatever it was causing her the pain, but she was still too weak to do anything but lie there and let it happen.
She doesn’t know how long she lay there. It could have been days, it could have been seconds. All she knew was that it hurt like hell one minute, then the next she just ached. She was eventually able to move enough to open her eyes and look around. She was still in the same room, but she was on the bed this time and someone had put her underwear back on. She took in the room and noticed another girl sat in the corner.
She explained everything to her. She was a vampyre now, like her and her parents, the two people she’d met the other night. Yes, she was going to be a snack, but she’d saved her; she’d ‘seen’ that she’d have a unique power and would be useful. And besides, she wanted another woman in the house.
She explained her new powers to her and trained her to use them. Eventually, they took her out to Courts to show her off. They tested her new ability and were amazed by it. For the next few years, everyone sought her because of her powers, for various reasons. Most people wanted her just because she was unique and wanted to collect her, but some wanted her because she would be a good weapon.
By the late ‘90s, the rest of her family were having to fight to keep her, though they kept this from her. Eventually, it got too much to hide when François and Louis were killed. She tried to leave them as she hated the idea that anyone else would get hurt because of her, but they wouldn’t hear anything of it. She learnt to fight, hoping that it would enable her to help her family, but it just made her even more valuable.
In 2003, they got into another fight that ended badly. Chantal was the only member of her fight to survive and she was seriously injured.
Lucienne begged Le Quatre Royal to allow her to leave the Court. They refused her request as they saw how valuable she could be, especially if she were to find her Life Mate. As they hadn’t had known anyone have this ability, there was no telling what it could become.
Word eventually got to London about Lucienne. The Alexanders were intrigued, as was the rest of the Court. Dove requested that the Royal Vampyre’s visit, bringing Lucienne with them, but they refused to step foot in a Country that fought with itself. So instead, she went over seas to see her for herself.
When she got there and met Lucienne, she saw the potential she had for fighting the War against the Were’s and Elementals. It helped that they got one well too. She met with the Royals and requested that they allow her to come to London as an ambassador to the French Court. They didn’t particularly want to allow this, especially as they knew she’d be used in the war, but they were unable to deny her in person; she was too powerful for them to deny her anything.
Ever since, Dove and Lucienne have been inseparable. They’ve grown to be like sisters; Dove even covers for Lucienne when she sneaks out to get drunk in town.
