Kate was alone, she had been surrounded by people for the last couple of weeks, and she needed some time of, to just be her self. She had ordered Gabby, back home it was the anniversary of her mates death, and she wanted and needed to be at his grave. Kate had ordered her bodyguards to follow Gabby, they had objected but she had pulled ranks on them. So she was all alone in a place called the wash, and she loved it. The snow was so high that half the time she vanished under it and had to get up on two legs to get a view of where she was going. She had first wanted to turn into a panther but that was her hunting form, and the manticore, well there wasn’t any kids to scare the hell out of.
So she went with her favorite form, the silver and white tabby Norwegian forest cat, or it was actually kitten, she loved that form, she totally taped into her childish nature with the kitten, somehow she couldn’t quite control the age of her shifts, and her mood and logic was basically like her form, if she was a kitten she was a child, if a sphinx then an old oracle, and if she was the panther she was in hunting mode. She loved it like that, she had a form for every mood, and she used them too. But to unwind it was the kitten.
She loved the fact that she had barely any control over her limbs, and that she totally lost track of things when she was on a job, because she got sidetracked to easily. Oh there was a leave, she chased it, snuck up on it, BAM! Killed, oh yeah, she did the Timba move. She kept her head high and was so proud of herself, throwing her head from side to side as she sang inside her head.
“I'm sorry for the times that I made you scream (Oh yeah she made them all scream, she was sooo scary). for the times that I killed your dreams (oops). for the times that I made your whole world rumble (Oh yeah I can really do that).
for the times that I made you cry (ha pathetic a man cry?) for the times that I told you lies (well you couldn’t handle the truth!). for the times that I watched and let you stumble (what should I go down with you?).
It's too bad, but that's me ( oh yeah that’s me). what goes around comes around, you'll see (or maybe not). that I can carry the burden of pain (bring it on). 'cause it ain't the first time that a man goes insane (or the last time). and when I spread my wings to embrace him for life (take your last breathe). I'm suckin' out his love, 'cause I, I'll never be nobody's wife (hell no!!!).
She stopped for a second, what was that? She got up to look over the snow, there it was again. Someone was training out here in the middle of nowhere. That could mean that someone didn’t want attention, she couldn’t see far because of the snow but she followed the sound, only being distracted twice, that leaf had to die, there was no way around it, and the straw of grass, well come one she was not a fierce kitten if she had let it sway like that in front of her.
Then the smell, oh god it was better than catnip, and so much stronger, she forgot all about the stranger out here in the wash, she had found something better, a jacket and a shirt, and it smelled like heaven and hell combined, oh she had become addicted to something new. She could not resist it, she rubbed her head in the shirt, and before long she was lying with her legs up rubbing her back and entire body to get the scent all over her, oh this was unique, she was so lost in the scent. She never did notice that she had made the shirt wet with her drool.
Then she heard the sound, it was magical, the sound was someone forcing himself to the brim of what his body could take, she slowly pop up her head. First her ears came into view then her yellow eyes before her head looked at the awesome creature in front of her. She could smell and hear that it was male, but she had never seen anything like this before. The creature in front of her was topless, his body seemed to be very firm, but she could not be sure since he had his back on her. He had wings, great white wings that almost screamed to her, she wanted so badly to touch them, and yes she would love to hunt them, not panther style but kitten style, playfully.
She held her breathe as the stranger made some moves she had never seen, she was fascinated, he could turn and use his body as if he was a werecat, he was as limber as she was. But he was not werecat, nor even a werewolf. He smelled like an elemental. She pressed herself down as he turned, pressing her ears flat so he didn’t see her, in turn she couldn’t see him either. But she was struck by the wings and his voice, it almost called for her, she could not look away, yet alone walk away. She was in the middle of nowhere and a killer elemental was using moves she had never seen before, she was quite sure he could kill her without using magic, and this appealed to her, she had to stay and watch. She needed to know every move he made.
She ducked every time his face turned towards her, and looked up over the snow and jacket prying at his every move. She lost track of time, and she felt more and more drawn to him, and after more than an hour she didn’t duck. She meet his eyes, and everything inside her turned. She screamed as she saw her life-mate standing in front of her, this could not be real, an elemental, nooooo. She reached out for Gabby as her fear dawn on her, she had not only managed to find a life-mate, but she had accomplished to find one her father would for certain not accept. An elemental. She was scared, and she couldn’t stop screaming inside her head.
To her mate, the only sound that reached him, was a low meow.

Dorian had needed a little downtime from the house, it wasn't that he didn't like it there... but he was still yet to broach the subject of his power and raw energy that was coursing through him daily. At the moment it seems as if Roxi was passing off his shields popping up and stupid times as just the fact that Dorian was nervous in a new place. Ethan wasn't too fond of it, he tensed every time the light shimmered... and Loki threw pens at it.
The latter of the three so far was his favourite as after having a pen hit you in the head three times he had learnt to focus his shield to bounce the pens back at him. Loki didn't give up however and was actually providing Dorian with a bit of a challenge that Dorian was not encouraging by finding all the pens in the house and giving them to Loki when Roxi wasn't looking. The most hilarious part of this game for Dorian was when Loki got caught, Roxi slapped him. However it was getting to the point where he could feel the familiar sensation on his back where his power was building up and he knew that he'd be walking around with wings if this kept up. He needed to get out and train.
He was even having trouble sleeping right now, usually he would of spent hours each day just training over and over. Repetition wasn't so much of an issue for him as long as he mastered every single move and after that he would practice it some more. He didn't need to practice this much daily because his body was it perfect condition, most were would probably envy how he could move and it came naturally to them. Every part of Dorian was a weapon that had been crafted in one way or another. His abilities to his hands and feet. Another reason why he wore a short at all times when he was at Roxi's. Yeah he had seen Loki walking around shirtless now and then but he ever out did him. Loki had an excuse, he was in the army.
It had taken a lot of convincing to get Roxi to let him out of the house on his own without some kind of armoured escort. She thought there was something wrong with him, he knew that much but he couldn't work out what she thought was so wrong. He was the same as he had ever been except now he was actually living above ground. As far as Dorian was concerned there was nothing to be worried about, yet she was worrying anyway.
Never the less he had gotten away. Throwing on one of the new shirts Loki had bought him and his trench coat that Loki had been trying relentlessly to get away from him. He was wearing the pair of jeans that he had been the day he arrived. They where worn and they where also another item of clothing Loki had been trying to get into the bin. Dorian knew he should probably explain to Loki why he was wearing old tattered clothes because he was planning on training in a marsh... but Loki was very... very bad at secrets. Ethan had sneaked one of Roxi's cookies once when she wasn't looking and Loki had tried to look innocent to the point Roxi barely had to look at him for 2 seconds to work out some one had stole her cookie...
He'd tell them, at some point. It was awkward though, especially with Ethan. It wasn't as if the other werecat hated him but Dorian knew when some one viewed him as a threat. And Ethan viewed him as a threat. At the moment they seemed to be acting under the idea that his abilities sheet had been wrong as Damon hadn't put replication on it. He'd shown his shields and his healing ability. Dorian didn't doubt the fact he would likely be expanding his basis of abilities soon, living in a house with two werecats and an Elemental. Another freak-mental like him at that. He knew he was going to pick something up fast, Dorian really wanted to explain his ability before that happened. Or before his wings popped up. One or the other.
He got a few blocks away from the house into a less built up area, pretty much as soon as he knew that people weren't watching him his wings came out, not to their full potential though his jacket but they worked just fine this way. It just wasn't as comfortable. How ever he didn't want to leave the expensive shirt and his jacket in the middle of a city, he'd rather have it with him. The trip to the Marshes was quick, he flew just above the cloud line so he wouldn't be seen and he flew fast enough so that if he was people would blink and forget him as a hallucination. He manipulated light streams around him to add to the affect.
He landed hard in the Marsh and glanced around as his wings whisped away, the tingling was still there. He found a try patch of land to put his coat and shirt down so he could bring his wings back again. Folding the jacket neatly on the ground and the shirt on top. As soon as the shirt and jacket where gone his wings where back, and just more comfortable and solid this time round as he fully formed them. Large pure white feathers coating them and shining in the meagre sunlight. The refracted light better than the white snow that covered area around him. He loved the snow, everything was white and clean, something about that appealed to him.
He stretched his wings out to their full length, groaning as relief filled his bones. His shield flashed for a brief second before vanishing again. After stretching all of his muscles he didn't hesitate before switching into his routine. Not using his abilities but just his body. Starting of slow before he started doing each move fast and faster. Dorian was well aware that he could go fist to fist with any cat of the moon lit court when it came to speed with out using his abilities. Something no other elementals really could do. With their abilities they had an advantage, Dorian didn't need the advantage.
Time went quickly as he focused himself entirely on his task.
Dorian only stopped when he locked eyes with a cat. He turned to fully face the feline and tilted his head to one size. It was barely bigger than a kitten. He tilted his head to one side in confusion in what Loki had commented was a very were-cat like move. The wash was a pretty well known were running ground but this cat was too small to be a were. Who ever would leave a poor kitten out here needed hunting down and being punched a couple of hundred time. The low Meow brought his attention away from killing the people who had abandoned this little kitten in the middle of no where. There was little chance it would survive out here.
He dropped down to his haunches and held his hand out in front of him, his wings folding comfortably on his back and he let the tension and aches from his training session leak away from him. He held his hand out for the little cat, his amber eyes locking with the cats.
“Hey kitty, come here.” He made shushing noises to calm the cat and bring it over to him, Dorian absolutely loved cats and kittens. He had been speaking about getting one for the house and Roxi had just said they would look into it several times but the conversation had not really gone any further than that. This kitty however was perfect, he was a pure white kitten that had obviously been abandoned in the middle of no where. The kitty deserved a good home...

Her life-mate had stopped, as soon as he saw her, her screams were muffled as he looked concerned at her, she felt another adrenaline rush come over her, this time she felt satisfied, her life-mate had spotted her and as he reach out for her. She couldn’t help her self, she started to purr. She got up fell over and got up again, looking around making sure no one but her life-mate had seen it, she threw her head backwards to show that the fall had been planned.
“Hey kitty, come here.”
She couldn’t help herself, she walked over to him purring like a machinegun, she couldn’t stop it, but at that very moment she didn’t want to, she lower her chest and head down as she wriggles her butt and tail, before jumping into her lovers hands and stepping around before she rolled up into a ball. She looked at her lovers eyes, she got lost in them as she purred her heart out, she was immediately calmed down, and she sent the vibes for her family and most Gabby that she was safe, she had only been freaked out that she had found he life-mate. She left out the part that he was an elemental, they would know soon enough, and when they did they would send for her, they demand his head on a plate and if she refused they would settle with hers.
She turned onto her back as she tried to grab her lover’s fingers, but she had too short limbs. Not that it mattered she was joyful and happy, she was home at last. She understood the pain Gabby suffered now, she felt hurt by the mere fact that Kate already knew her life-mate better than Gabby had known hers. She was covered in his scent, and it was far better than any expensive perfume she would ever be able to find and purchase. He lifter her up, closer to him, she could see the sweat on his face, but it just turned her on more, the fact that he was an elemental just didn’t matter any more, somehow she was actually glad that he was, but she would have to keep him away from her family, they where of the old school about mates, no crossing between races, that was the first and most important rule. In fact if she had to guess her father would already be sure she was hunting her mate down. He would be very wrong. She called out for Gabby telling her that she needed her protection as soon as possible. She did tell the saber tooth tiger, who her mate was.
She and Gabby were close, like sisters close, or even closer. They had at a very young age been each other’s confidence. They had when they were both ten cut themselves in their palms and mixed their blood, and it had done the trick, they could communicate over long distances, and they could read each others mind. She had never been so close to anyone, as she had thought earlier, if she had been told her life-mate was already in her life, she would have bet on Gabby. But she wasn’t, not even close.
What she felt in her entire body at this minute, was pure love. She couldn’t explain it, but she felt showered in love, she felt protected as she purred in her life-mates hands. Oh she was in heaven, and hell right now all her appointments would wait for a few days, she needed to be close to her life-mate, learn all there was to know about him, she would let him set the pace, she knew that he had to know she was a werecat, but he soft hands held her so gently, that she really didn’t see it as a problem.
She was lifted up to his face, she looked into his amber eyes, she cocked her head and the moment she got close enough, she got up on her behind legs and gently placed her front paws on his cheeks as she licked his nose. She rubbed her face towards his, and she loved to feel his breathe on her face and body, her purring was taking control of her, but she really just couldn’t help it, she needed to show him how much she loved him. There could not be room for any doubt. She needed him, but until he asked her to shift she would stay a kitten, beside she liked the mix of being completely irresponsible and in love, this mix would soon be her favorite drug.
She stood like that what felt forever, when something hit her. Something was wrong. Now she knew she wasn’t a super empathy, but she could always tell what those close to her felt, and this was like a knife in her heart. Another meow escaped her, as she sat down on the angel’s hand. She looked at him, trying to understand why he didn’t feel anything for her. Could faith really be that cruel?
She pressed her empathy a little more, but she felt like she was inside an empty hall and the echoes of her longing was lost in the shadows. She bit he tongue, he didn’t feel anything towards her. She was not his mate. She started to shiver as she stepped backwards, and all of a sudden there was no more hand, and she fell.

Dorian was happy the little kitten had come right over to him, cats where actually pretty good when it came to him. He couldn't tell you what it was that caused them to like him but they just did, he'd never been scratched or scrammed by a cat before. They always been happy to go and sit on him. Although it had been a long time since he had had a cat around him, they were not exactly aloud when he was in the Riptide... having your prize assassin sat in the corner of the room stroking a little kitten whilst he was supposed to be scaring the dead out of people was not exactly a good plan. As soon as he had the purring kitten in his hand he picked him up. Well he was assuming it was a him... it was a really fluffy cat and he didn't want to start double checking and what not in the middle of a marsh. So he decided to go with his first guess. Dorian played with the little kitten that was laying on its back in his hand to its hearts content. Yeah he was really taking this little beauty home with him. He double checked that he had brought his wallet with him, wanting to make sure he had enough money to stop by a pet store on the way home. As far as he new there wasn't really any food in the house that a cat could eat unless cats had suddenly started eating pot noodles and crisps.
When he felt her little paws on his face he half smiled which was generally as close to smiling as Dorian ever got. When the kitten sat down on his hand Dorian tilted his head, wondering what had changed the little cats mood. He assumed it was because he had been abandoned in the middle of a Marsh. He still wished he could find out who the people where who had abandoned this cat, he'd never actually had the chance to have a cat of his own and this one was definitely coming home. He knew Roxi hadn't been too enthusiastic about him having a cat although he couldn't understand why.
He would work out a way to make sure he didn't get under Roxi's feet too much and something... he wasn't sure yet but he wanted him. Dorian didn't really want much... just food when he was hungry and sleep when he was tired. He'd wanted a semblance of family years ago and he was enjoying living in the mad house he was now calling home, but he still didn't really want anything. Although Roxi was encouraging him to want things, and to feel emotions again but that still felt foreign to him. When ever he was getting close to feeling something he would withdraw in on himself to avoid the feelings as everything just seemed to end up in pain. What use was emotions when all they did was hurt?
Whilst his thoughts where else where he felt the cat move backward in his hand. Having to bring his other one around to catch him but he knew it wouldn't work. The light came from his fingers and scooped up underneath the kitten, solidifying and catching the cat until Dorian could scoop him up again with his other hand. Concern flashing through him and lingering before he had a chance to push the feeling back, knowing it would be no use to him is he was panicking or being emotional and whatever.
“Careful their Kitty, Your going to be coming flying with me in a bit so you're going to have to stay still. Other wise it will take a very long time to find a Taxi from the middle of no where.” He half smiled again at the cat and walked over to where his jacket and shirt was, thinking would be best to wrap the kitten up in his shirt and do his jacket up when they flew. He held two fingers up in front of the cat and moved them back and forth to catch his attention, red lights flicking around his fingers, hoping to cheer the little thing up again.

He had a puzzled look on his face as his hand suddenly was full of light. Kate had to shut her eyes so she was not blinded. She loved his gentle touch and decided not to move away from him, maybe he couldn’t feel the connection, because she was in a feline form.
“Careful their Kitty, Your going to be coming flying with me in a bit so you're going to have to stay still. Other wise it will take a very long time to find a Taxi from the middle of no where.”
She put her head down on her paws, and was glad she had other less her jaw would have dropped down, did he really mean he would take her flying? Her ears went up as she could barely stay still, she didn’t want to fall down, and she was sure as hell not going anywhere, if he wanted to take her home, she would gladly follow, not thinking of all the things she would encounter. Nor the fact that he believe she was a kitten, but that had its perks too. She could stay at his place and snoop around a little, beside she needed to know everything about her mate. She just had too. She couldn’t help herself but to stretch herself as she yawned, being a kitten usually made her tired fast. But there was no way she was about to sleep, no way.
She ignored the fact that her father commanded her to return home at once, she knew that he had discovered who or what her mate was. She didn’t really care, she would fight who ever he sent to kill them, he had no elements of surprise, he didn’t even know how many cat forms she really could turn into. Beside, she was by far superior to all his guards. Only one that would actually have a fighting chance with her was Gabby, but she would never turn against Kate. Hell Kate called for Gabby, telling her to say her goodbyes fast because a storm was brewing, and she would need backup. Kate was capable of taking care of her self, but she was not as dumb as not to get all the help she could, when cornered. Beside her father’s attack would probably not even be at her at first, he would go after her mate. There was no way she would let him go unprotected no matter how good he fought in the middle of nowhere.
So the though of him taking her home with him suited Kate just fine, she didn’t think of clothes or anything practical. She didn’t think a lot at this moment. She was with her mate and that was all that counted. She closed her eyes for a few seconds, and before she knew it, she was wrapped like a freaking tortillas into his shirt, but she didn’t complain, it smelled like heaven and she knew he only did it to keep her safe, so she purred her heart out. At this point she just closed out everything. Only thing she was taking in was him. He smiled when ever he looked at her, and she loved it, at least he felt something for her as a kitten, and if that was what she would get from her life-mate so be it, she would never use her powers on him, never force him to love her. She could live without his love, just as long as he was safe, and if he invited her into his home, well then who was she to say no.
She made a giggling sound the moment he realized his shirt was wet, but she keep the innocent face up, purring away. This purring was kinda getting to her, she was never this loud, but for some strange reason she couldn’t turn it of. She snuggled into her mate, and hoped that he would soon feel her love, and by that his own love to her.
She screamed with joy the moment he leaped of the earth into the sky, she felt the rush inside her, this was new in every way, she had usually only gotten her adrenaline kicks in human form, and now she was getting it double. Or triple to be honest, she was high on her finding her mate, and she was high that she was airborne, and the fact that she was a kitten just kicked everything into the higher level of joy. She loved every second of it, and she couldn’t help but send her joy towards her mate, she simply was so high, and she loved it. at that point of time nothing else existed. Only her life-mate and herself. The rest was just background noise.
She was a little baffled, when they landed not far from a pet-store. She had not thought it through and now she could see small gaps in her idea of moving in with her life-mate. The obvious was of course her wardrobe and girly stuff, like make-up and perfumes. Now that he put her down in the store and started to power shop for her, she got sidetracked, as she saw the enormous amount of toys that was laid out in front of her. Talk about an addiction, she was chasing everything, and when the shop owner grabbed a laser pointer she almost crawled the walls to catch it. She forgot every single worry she had for at least ten seconds.
She was totally lost with the toys, but every time her mate walked away to find something more for her, she called for him to come back, and if he wasn’t back right away she meowed as loudly as she could as she tracked him down. She could simply not bear to be left alone for more than a few seconds, she was quite sure this would be different when she got her dosage of her life-mate, but she had heard rumors about mates not being able to stay apart for a long time. By the time she was sure he wasn’t going to leave her, she sidetracked into a room full of living toys, there were mice and hamsters, rats and snakes. She stood on her two legs as she tried to catch a mouse behind the glass.
She smiled as she walked up to the counter where her life-mate/owner was paying for all the super treats he had bought for her, she noticed two things, that made her drop her jaw. First one was the mere sizes of the littler box he had bought. If she had even been able to crawl inside it she would never, not even if she died from it, do her private stuff in a litter box, she was quite offended, but that was the least, because he had bought a collar to her and now the shop owner wanted to know what her name was and what phone number to put on the name tag.
She tried to will him to say Kate, but she was not getting through. Not one bit.
She was running towards him when he said her name. She missed a beat and fell sliding all the way over to his shoes.
