I know your hiding places and I know your every move 'cause girl, I've been lonely too. And I seen a million faces been to a million places. But, girl, there ain't no one quite like you.
Ethan was ignoring the ice cold wind currently biting into his chest, and the vague fact that minus his helmet his hair was going to be so much more of a mess that in was in the first place. He couldn't actually bring himself to be converned with any of these facts however because he had insisted Roxi wear his helmet and his jacket. Hiss jacket due to the fact that brother of hers practically had her out in the street with no clothes on. And sitting in the laps of other men no less. Which considering Loki hounded him about violating his little sister was very confusing for Ethan.
That man was very contradictory when it came to Roxi. Considering what the man was likely doing with JD round about now, Very contradictory. He had a pretty good idea what they where up to because he could still feel a little of the residual emotions coming through Roxi.. Which so did not help his fact. He would seriously have to take up some new hobbies... He had his bike... which was no longer making things better.. just worse. Cooking was starting to be a good distraction but with Roxi this close and Loki's horniness he was beginning to think he would need to take up something else too... maybe getting back into martial arts was a good idea...
Anything to get his mind of other things...
Ethan shook his head, concentrating on the cold now like a cold shower rather than ignoring it.
They pulled up at his gates which opened automatically at his arrival. Driving in and parting next to his 3 other bikes a lot more sensibly than he had parked earlier. He'd been tuning his bikes earlier so they where out in the drive way in place of his cars which where usually outside.
He jumped of the bike, holding it stead for Roxi and smiling easily. This was the first time she had agreed to visit his house. Something he wasn't shocked about due to the fact she was most likely wary about his brothers presence. He still needed the full story at some point... His mother and Brother however where currently otherwise occupied and not open for his grilling and his father was away on business.
Even though he had assured her no one would be here he could feel her nervousness.
“Don't worry, this is my house and my house only. Even my father doesn't have access codes to the gates or keys to the doors. None of my family have even visited her barring my father once or twice a few months ago.”
He smiled hoping to relax her some. The fact his was the only prevailing scent on the grounds he was hoping would really help. He was also desperate to know what she thought of the place. From this side it was all stone, the back half was practically made purely out of glass but was surrounded by a lot of forest. He didn't want any one being able to see in his home or pool.
And I'd walk through hell and high water. Wash away with the tide. I can lose a damn war all by myself, if you were on the other side. So, in the morning when the rooster crows, pack your bags and get ready to go. If you're walkin' through hell and high water, please don't do it alone.

Roxi was pressed up against Ethan as close as she could be. If it weren’t for the stupid helmet he’d insisted on her wearing, she’d probably have her head pressed against his back too, as it was, she just kept her eyes shut tight. It wasn’t that she was scared; she was bloody petrified. She wasn’t used to going at these kinds of speeds in the city. And the fact she was weaving in and out of traffic on what amounted to a piece of plastic covering a motor that was somehow connected to a pair of wheels was enough to almost totally drown out Loki’s emotions. Almost…
She was still highly aware that Ethan was currently topless. She’d been aware of it in the club, but there had been other people to help take her mind off of it. Now, she was alone with him and it was all she could think about. Plus, he’d removed his bike jacket to give too her, so she was now totally surrounded by the scent of him. It was all she could do not to run her hands over him. She managed it though, just.
As they drove up to his house, however, all thoughts were wiped out of her mind as her stomach filled with dread. She hadn’t really thought much about where she was going until just now. For some reason, it came as a shock, like she wasn’t expecting him to be serious in taking her here.
Ethan had told her that his brother never visited him, but that didn’t seem right to her. After all, he was his brother, how could he not pop round occasionally for a visit? If, for some reason her and her brother were to stop living together, he wouldn’t be able to get rid of her and vice versa. The very idea of not seeing him practically all the time was a scary one.
They pulled up and Ethan jumped off the bike, holding it steady for her. She took of her helmet and took a deep breath with the dual purpose of calming her nerves and smelling the area. She only managed to smell Ethan around her, but that could have been because of the jacket she was wearing. And there was no way she was taking that off. It was too big for her and practically drowned her, but it smelt like Ethan; there was no way she was taking it off. She doubted that she’d be able to bring herself to take it off. She had a feeling that she’d need the comfort that it held, at least for a bit.
She took another deep breath and widened the link between her and Ethan, letting his happiness at her being her fill her up. She knew how much he wanted her to be here and could understand it. This was his home after all, the animal part of her would be demanding that she be there.
She knew all this because hers had been demanding something similar. It wanted to be around him constantly, but thanks to years of being around Loki and other elementals, she was able to send that part of her to the back of her mind. Her human part of her mind was always more dominant now, and she could tell that this both confused and frustrated Ethan sometimes, especially as he didn't fully understand why she had to do this. She sometimes wondered if he'd prefer her to go back to Court and become the cat she was 'meant to be', but she couldn't do that. Not now.
“Don't worry, this is my house and my house only. Even my father doesn't have access codes to the gates or keys to the doors. None of my family has even visited her barring my father once or twice a few months ago.”
Roxi nodded and jumped off of the bike, stumbling in her haste to get off. She managed to save herself from hitting the floor by falling into Ethan and grabbing round his waist. She looked up at him and smiled apologetically, "Oops?" She went onto her tip toes and kissed him gently. She knew that one day she'd have to tell him the whole story behind her exile from Court. And it wasn't a conversation she was looking forward to, but she knew it was imminent. It would help if she knew how he'd actually take it. Actually, the thing that would help most was if Loki was there, but she knew that was unlikely to happen. She stood up straight and drew the jacket closer around her as they walked to the door, taking deep even breaths of Ethan scented air. The closer they drew to the door, the shorter her breaths got, up until the point she was nearly hyperventilating. She didn't want to go in. She knew that Eric wouldn't be there or Ethan would have said, but that didn't matter. She had visions of him standing in the shadows, ready to attack as soon as Ethan's back was turned. Ethan opened the door and stepped in, leaving her staring wide eyed into the house. She couldn't go in. She just couldn't. Hell, she couldn't even move to turn around and leave. She was frozen in place as panic and fear overwhelmed her system. He'd be there. He would. Maybe not now, but one day he'd be there and she wouldn't be able to run from him.[/blockquote]

Ethan walked into the house, the heating had been on all day as Ethan really was not a fan of the cold. He preferred his house to be really warm, another thing which tended to keep Eric away. And Eion. Both of his brothers had a distinct hate for the heat where as he and Edward despised the cold. Edward was due to come over to his house at some point. Originally the two brothers where going to live together but Edward had taken to travelling to override the mate of him yearning for his mate that he was convinced he would never find. He had always been a little bit of a pessimist.
He got a few steps then he felt Roxi's panic shoot through the room, he was by her in a second, She was just on the door step looking into his house. The panic coursed through him and demanded his cat take retribution on what ever had caused it. But he couldn't because it was his own house that had done it. There was nothing their for him to attack and it drove his cat mad. Ethan relied very little on the human part of him mind, pretty much being entirely a cat like his father and Edward tended to be. Although Edward was the worst of them for it. If he could Ethan belive he would spend most of his time as a cat instead of normal.
He wrapped his arms around Roxi and tried to comfort her, his own distress showing through on the fact his mate could not even entire his house was similar to some one stabbing him. It actually felt as if some one was delivering an actual physical blow to him.
“Rox, Rox listen to me you have to calm down.”
He tried to calm her whilst leaning for ward to snag the door handler, swinging the door shut and blocking out the house. Not knowing anything else that he could possibly do to help her, he didn't understand any of this or how a house could affect her in such a way. He glanced to his garage where his cars where and knew the keys where in the house. He wanted to get one of them out so he could take Roxi some where else where she wasn't so petrified.
If her ever saw Eric again he was going to tear his twin apart. Over the last few days his need to attack his brother had dwindled, he was family when it came down to it and were's even had magic the bound families together. Even though most people commented on the fact that the Kavanagh family bonds seemed... weird? Off... would be a better word. There just seemed to be something off with the whole family. The fat that on most days it seemed to be split right down the middle and there where two halves. Hot and Cold.
Ethan Snr, Ethan and Edward on one side.
Eion, Eric and Mary-Ann on the other.
It was unheard of for a family to live in such a way, especially in cat society. The magic binding everyone together was strong, yes people argued, yes there where times when you didn't spend every minute with those who you loved. But when it came down to it you always still loved them. Sometimes with his parents it didn't look right. He didn't want that to happen with him.
“We can go some where else? Let me just get one of the cars and we can go where ever you want to go instead. You're safe. I swear.”

Roxi watched as Ethan walked into the house, leaving her completely and utterly alone. She whimpered slightly, knowing that if Eric were to attack her now, she'd be powerless to defend herself. Sure, her shields were strong, even before the boost Eric's main power was useless against her. But Eric was trained to fight and kill cat's; she'd be no match against a physical attack, no matter how hard Loki trained her. And Eric knew this. When he eventually attacked her, he wouldn't waste energy on using his power. He'd just wait until her guard was down and strike. And walking into her life mates house would be the perfect time to do that.
She knew, deep down, that she was being ridiculous and paranoid, that there was no need to be so damn scared of walking inside the house. If there were any chance of Eric attacking her whilst she was here, Ethan wouldn't have let her come anywhere near here. There was no threat and there probably never would be. Especially when Ethan Snr had made his position on her treatment clear.
Whilst she knew all of this, it didn't matter. She'd been living under the threat of Eric for years and one man saying that he'd not be too happy if anything were to happen to her wasn't going to put her mind to rest. And she doubted whether it would make much difference to Eric either. If he wanted to attack her, he would, regardless of what his father said. And he'd made it plain that he wanted to.
Arms wrapped around her, causing her to scream and kick out. As she made contact, she realised just who it was she was kicking and pulled back. She still hit him, but it wasn't as hard as it could have been.
“Rox, Rox listen to me you have to calm down.”
She could hear the distress in his voice and could feel the need to protect her struggling to comprehend that he wasn't able to attack what was panicking her. She wrapped her arms around his waist and buried her head into his bare chest, taking deep Ethan scented breaths. After a few lungfuls, her heart beat managed to settle to normal and she was able to think clearly.
“We can go some where else? Let me just get one of the cars and we can go where ever you want to go instead. You're safe. I swear.”
She looked up from where her head laid against his chest. She wanted so badly to take him up on his offer, to take him back to hers and watch a DVD on the sofa, trying her hardest to block out the thoughts that would be flying across her mind. She wanted not to step foot in his house, but she knew just how much it would hurt him if she were to say that.
She took another breath and closed her eyes before shaking her head.
"No. I want to go in. I want to spend time with you in your house. I just ... I don't know if I can do it." She took a step back and looked back towards the house, noticing that the door was now shut. When did that happen?
She closed her eyes and willed herself to move towards the door and open it. She grabbed hold of Ethan's hand, trying to find the nerve to do it, but even that failed. She growled, angry with herself for being so pathetic, then stepped back towards him and buried her head in his chest again. If she was able to get into the house, she'd be fine, but it was just getting there. She was just unable to go within five metres of the bloody door.

Ethan wrapped his arms around Roxi to try and help her get past this some how, and the fact she seemed to calm slightly when his arms where wrapped around her. He tried to calm himself down as well, he knew his agitation was likely to make her even more agitated in his current state which really would not help matters any
"No. I want to go in. I want to spend time with you in your house. I just ... I don't know if I can do it."
He sighed lightly, happy about the fact that he didn't want to just go away, although he had no idea how to help her get over the fact that she seemed to fear his very house. Ethan glanced at the house again for diverting his attention to the garage again. That was probably his best bet. He picked her up swiftly and took a few steps back over to his bike and grabbed the garage remote, tapping in the code and the three garage doors automatically rose. Ethan was generally going on the idea that the garage doors where larger an there for less likely to freak her out...
Okay, Yeah, Ethan was so far out of his depth it wasn't even amusing.
He walked them over to the garage, his bikes where all out on the front patch so he didn't have to worry about navigating the area. He walked straight in and the computer screen on the wall lit up with the proximity sensors at the front of the garage. A fact that Ethan pretty much hid from everyone very well was that he was a geek. The kinda who had several computers and several laptops as well and turned is house into some kinda master piece that even Mr Star would be jealous off.
Except his computer was female... and just called 'puter. He hadn't been feeling really imaginative at that point and it had been the best thing he could come up with. The lazy name had grown on him but he kept making a point to change it at some point. He was sure it was making the 'puter sarcastic...
“Silent mode”
“Afternoon Ethan and guest, Silent mode activated.
Ethan tilted his head as he realised the computer sounded a little bitter about the fact he was bringing Roxi into the house. Typical computer, It always seemed to find something to complain about. He would tweak it but he had a feeling that would result to more issues. Yes he had wanted an intelligent computer so it would act like another version of himself... he had not however expected this.
“Well we got as far as the garage, think you can make it into the main house or if you really want we can stay in here and send out for snacks?”
Ethan shrugged lightly as he hid one of the touch pads which opened the door into his living room. The door was around 5 times the width of a normal door. Given the amount of time Ethan spent in his garage or in his work room both rooms where linked with the living room, and if he opened the doors up full like now it just became a very large room. In the living room there was a matching mirrored wall just opposite them which held his work room. Ethan's work room and garage where the favourite parts of his house, barring his bedroom and bathroom of course... and the kitchen.

Roxi cringed when Ethan sighed. She knew this was hurting him and she hated that it was; it was why she was so determined to actually go into his house. If she didn’t love him so much, she would have told him where to go. And make it obvious that that place was as far away as he could get whilst still having his feet firmly planted in this Solar System.
She yelped in surprise as he picked her up, not used to the speed at which he could do things. And the fact that she had a good amount of muscle on her, adding to her weight a considerable amount, it was shocking that he could lift her so easily. Perhaps she’d been hanging around with Loki for too long. Whilst he could pick her up with relative ease, he was never able to do it as if she were nothing more than a feather in weight, like she could do with him and Ethan was now doing with her.
She buried her head into his neck and wrapped her arms around his shoulders. She knew where they were heading, had done since Ethan had made the snap decision, but she didn’t want to see where she was going. It sounded somewhat delusional, but if she convinced herself that he was taking her to one of his cars and drive her either home or to her parents, she might just be able to get through this. She just had to make sure she couldn’t see something that would inform her mind otherwise.
She took deep breaths and kissed Ethan repeatedly on his neck by way of apology, showing that she was more than grateful for the fact he was putting up with her. Thank the gods they weren’t humans. They had Life Mates too, they just never realised it. Most would meet their Life Mate and then dismiss them due to some bad habit that they had. Elementals were similar, but they generally felt a slight pull to the other Elemental they were made for. Plus, it was highly unlikely that they would be able to have children with anyone other than their Life Mate, hence then being actively encouraged to sleep around. As Loki said, it was a hard job, but it was necessary for the survival of the Race …
Humans, on the other hand, were able to reproduce with anyone. Hell, the females didn’t even have to meet with the father of their child anymore, which was quite frankly disturbing.
She smelt a change in the air as they entered the garage and quickly switched to breathing through her mouth so as not to bring on another panic. She regretted it immediately, however, as she started to taste the petrol and exhaust fumes from all the cars and bikes that had ever been kept in here. She was surprised that Ethan could stomach it, but then again he was quite obviously a petrol head; Roxi was most defiantly not.
She heard Ethan speak and was immediately on edge. She didn’t hear what he had said, but it didn’t sound as if it were aimed at her; he was talking to someone else. She cringed into his shoulder again, putting herself into a held version of the foetal position and listened intently for some small noise that would indicate another person.
“Afternoon Ethan and guest, Silent mode activated.”
Roxi practically jumped out of her skin as a not-so-quite voice filled the room. She bit into Ethan’s neck slightly and tightened her grip around his shoulders, needing to reassure herself that he was still there. She knew that if it were a threat, her doing this made it impossible for Ethan to physically defend himself or her, but she was putting their lives in the hands of his abilities.
After a few seconds, her heart rate retuned to normal and she stopped being such a wuss, letting go of his neck and loosening her grip. She moved back slightly and felt a pang of guilt as she saw a perfect indentation of her teeth on his neck. She kissed it gently and murmured an apology into his neck.
“Well we got as far as the garage, think you can make it into the main house or if you really want we can stay in here and send out for snacks?” Roxi smiled, thankful that the Gods had given her such a considerate Life Mate. If they hadn’t, she had no idea how she would have been able to get through this. The fact he was doing this without knowing the reason behind it all just added to her list of “Why I love Ethan.” She hadn’t actually told him there was a list, or even that she loved him, but she had decided that she would do tonight, along with why she was so scared of his brother. Of course, she wasn’t actually going to mention the list …
“I think I’ll be okay to go inside. Erm … if you don’t mind taking me in that is …” She pulled back again and shot him an apologetic smile. Her voic was almost back to normal and only held the slightest hint of it's earlier panic, but she knew that the slightest scare could cause another panic; she hoped that he didn't walk past any mirrors whilst she was still like this or it could end up with seven years bad luck and a slight burn on his wall. She knew she was probably pushing her luck by asking to be carried into the house, but she was intending on making up for it at some point tonight. It was going to be a hard conversation to have and she didn’t really want to be doing it in an empty garage. She had a feeling that she’d need to be clutching on to something when she said it, and she didn’t want that to be Ethan. She didn’t know how he was going to react, so she wanted to have some distance between them. And a load of cushions, books and plates within arms reach so she could throw them at him should she feel the need.[/blockquote]

Ethan stretched his neck, feeling the skin pull lightly where she had bit him. He didn't mind in the slightest. It had gotten him this far and he would generally face anything if it just meant sitting around in a living room with her for a few hours. It wasn't even just the compulsion that brought them together. That was just the fates telling them who they should be with. The rest was the fact that this person was perfect for him in everything single way no matter what.
“I think I’ll be okay to go inside. Erm … if you don’t mind taking me in that is …”
Her voice was beginning to return to its normal tempo. The panic starting to subside a little bit but he could feel it was still there, she still was not at ease and he wished that he could do something for her. He didn't even think beyond the point of her asking to be carried into the house proper. He just bent down and scooper her up. Holding her as close to his as possible without crushing her to him he strode into the house. Stopping brief to kick of his bikers boots. Likely looking a little bit like an idiot as he jumped back and forth to kick them off.
Sighing triumphantly when he managed to free his feet and walk into his large living room. The lviing room was very brightly lit due to the horrendously large windows but he didn't stop to give her a tour and moved straight to the kitchen. Tours could wait for when she could move around the house without him carrying her. She was his mate so this was as much her house now as it was his. His bed literally and been built from the time when he was born and was designed one day to be for him and his mate, same as each of his brothers, his father and all of the men in the Kavanagh line before him.
He carried her straight into the kitchen... which was likely around three times the size of most peoples living rooms. Cabinets stretched along every wall and an island in the middles which was a very large breakfast tablet with stool chairs that where designed more for comfort that anything else. Ethan liked to be comfortable as much as he liked everything to be perfectly in its place. He leaned down to place her on a stool in the kitchen before grabbing two cups to make them some tea.
He thought the tea would calm him but he also wanted to try out his new kettle... Ethan was seriously a closet geek. Beyond 'puter and his lab it stemmed of into all types of gadgets... kitchen gadgets mainly. The last time his father had come around he had complained that every single thing in Ethan's kitchen looked as if it had been bought from an infomercial and totally baffled him. Ethan however loved every single thing in here and each of them was necessary in one way or another.
“Tea, Biscuits... Lunch?”
He glanced around the room, every time he went to collect something he made sure he returned to her side in less than a few seconds. Not entirely convinced she was fine yet. He hopes the kitchen would be the best room for her as it was in the rear corner on his house two of the walls where pure glass and she would be able to see straight into the large expanse of his back garden, the only thing blocking the view of the forest being the pool house a little in the distance.
The compute screen on the far wall flashed at him as he put several switches on to return electricity to his appliances. He was actually quite energy conscious when it came down to it. 'Puter was seemingly in a bad mood for being silenced as soon as he had come in and he had not introduced Roxi to him. At this rate the thing was going to be sulking all night which would not lead for easy cooking. He leaned towards the screen and tapped a few buttons on the touch screen. Even the normal beeping had be turned off... 'puter obviously taking his order a little too seriously. As per usual when it was something it was not impressed with.
Ethan rolled his eyes and came back to Roxi's side, putting the tea on hold for a second. Needing to take 'puter of silent lest his plans be dashed to hell. All the while knowing the creepy talking voice would not add to her calm. Plus the fact that he had not yet gone into the point of his computer obsession or as Edward tending to call him... the cat version of Iron Man. He wrapped his arms around her waist and dropped his head to her shoulder. Whispering too her in a hope that the computer would not here him
“If I don't take him off silent he will likely ruin the dinner and shut the electric off if we try and watch a movie and generally try to get revenge on me no matter what.”
He raised his head lightly to address the computer again, smiling at the same time to make him sound a little bit more cheerful.
“Silent mode Off, This is Roxi. Now quit complaining. Roxi this is 'puter.”

Roxi tried not to yelp as Ethan scooped her up again, managing only because she saw it coming this time. She wrapped her arms around him again and buried her head in his shoulder. This was the big step, the one that she knew she couldn’t do on her own. If she were able to get in the house, she knew that she’d be fine; it was just getting in there that was the problem.
She looked around as Ethan stopped, wondering what was happening to make him do so. She pulled back and shot a questioning look at him, looking perhaps a little wide eyed as panic started to bubble in her chest again. What was he doing? Why was he doing it? What was happening?
She fortified her shields and prepared herself to use her newly intensified heat manipulation to her advantage. She was quite frankly getting fed up of feeling so useless and pathetic. If she was attacked, she was damn well going to do something about it. But that didn’t mean she was going to get down just yet.
She snuggled closer to him and frowned as he sighed with relief. As he walked off into the house, Roxi looked over his shoulder to find out what exactly he was doing then laughed silently into his shoulder as she saw his boots kicked up against the wall.
The smell around her changed quickly and her curiosity got the better of her. Instead of burying her head once more, she rested it under his chin and watched as everything went by. She got an impression of modern décor and a huge TV, but that was all. She’d been expecting him to drop her on a sofa or something, but instead he took her into his kitchen and put her on a breakfast bar stool.
As he walked away to make tea, she took a look around. The first thing she noticed was the space. It was twice as big as her living room, which was bloody huge. Okay, that was the second thing she noticed. The first thing she noticed was the huge ass window that took up two of his walls. She leant towards it, not quite willing to move any closer than that, and squinted into his garden. It was pitch black, but she swore she could see the outline of tree’s and … was that a pool? How the hell he’d managed to find that much space in London, she had no idea, but by Gods it was huge. Everything was huge! She knew that Loki would suggest he was compensating, but she wasn’t exactly going to tell him; he thought it was pompous enough without knowing just how rich he really was.
“Tea, Biscuits... Lunch?” Roxi looked watched as Ethan moved around his kitchen, pressing various buttons on different things. She didn’t recognise a single implement in his kitchen and it was rather worrying. Oh no, wait, there was a sink over there. But even that looked like it was something out of Star Trek. With everything he did, he came back to her within seconds obviously not that convinced that she was okay just yet. She sighed and went to put her hand on his arm reassuringly, but she just touched thin air as he moved off again.
She spun on her stool as she watched him move to a screen built into the wall. She frowned when he tapped the screen a few times and shot him a quizzical look as he walked back over to her and rested his head on her shoulder.
“If I don't take him off silent he will likely ruin the dinner and shut the electric off if we try and watch a movie and generally try to get revenge on me no matter what.” That did nothing to enlighten Roxi on what was happening. In fact, it just baffled her even more. Take him off silent? Who? And how could they ruin dinner and shut off the bloody electric?
She leaned into him and wrapped her arms around his waist as he stood up slightly straighter, the confusion making her need to be closer to him. “Silent mode Off, This is Roxi. Now quit complaining. Roxi this is 'puter.”
She pulled back and raised an eyebrow at Ethan. Was this some kind of elaborate joke in order to make her more relaxed? Because if it was, it wasn’t working in the slightest. “Ethan what’s -”
“Good evening Miss Roxi. It’s nice to finally meet the woman who has been taking so much of my master’s free time.”
“Holy shit.” Roxi jumped a mile as the voice filled the room once more. She looked around for its source but all she could see different was the panel on the wall twinkling away. She got up and walked over to it. It was practically eye level with her, even though Ethan had to stoop slightly to see it. She leaned in and frowned at it, wondering what the hell it was.
“Erm … Hi?”
She went to touch the screen, then thought better of it and dropped her hand to her side. She was such a technophobe that she was surprised she hadn’t broken it just by being this close. She shot it another dubious look and backed up to Ethan, sure that it’d explode if she stood there much longer.
She wrapped her arms around his waist once more and leaned as far into him as she could, still not taking her eyes off the panel lest it jump out and attack her. “What the hell is that? And … is it laughing at me?!” She could hear a myriad of sound which all weaved together in a way that, to her, seemed comical. Like the pianist that played over the Silent Movies so many years ago, only more high tech.
She was so not going to let Loki know about this, he’d be laughing at her for days.

As Roxi looked at him quizzically he just smiled and kept his arms around her. Nodding towards the small screen on the side wall. Which was still flashing at him, probably still a little miffed over the silencing earlier. 'Puter didn't get to meet people that often and was obviously sulky about the fact that he was finally getting to meet some one new that wasn't his technophobic father for a change and Ethan had told him to stay silent from the get go... he would feel guilty but he had good reasons!
“Ethan what’s -”
“Good evening Miss Roxi. It’s nice to finally meet the woman who has been taking so much of my master’s free time.”
Ethan had to cover his mouth to hide back the chuckle at the blatantness that the 'puter was able to put out. It was his own fault, but he still wouldn't change it for anything.
“Holy Shit!”
Ethan released her from his grip as she wandered over to the panel in the kitchen. She looked as if she was about to poke it but went against it. Ethan realising that Roxi was looking a bit of a technophobe herself by the looks of it. That was going to make his kitchen amusing, there where few things in here where even Ethan had had to flick through the instruction manual a few times to get working... Not that he would EVER let any one see or even consider the fact that he, Ethan Kavanagh, was required too look at the Manual?!
“Erm … Hi?”
Ethan tilted his head and grinned, even as 'puter started effectively giggling at her. Least it wasn't being as bad as he had been for Ethan's dad. The doors to a lot of the rooms that weren't in the open part of the house where seamless in the walls, they opened automatically for Ethan (Mainly because he liked to pretend the he had the force now and then... What... Seriously... Who HASN'T done that?!) and anyone he had put on his safe list. But after Ethan Snr had accidentally broken something in the kitchen 'puter had started vanishing the doors around him. He could be a pain now and then...
“What the hell is that? And … is it laughing at me?!”
He tried to hold back the laugh at the fact Roxi wasn't to impressed, this was probably going to be amusing in the future.. he pictured Roxi and 'puter arguing and Roxi finding a way to win some how as she was the most stubborn person in the world... and that world included him.
“That is my house, he;s a bit sarcastic and can be a pain in the backside.. kinda like a kid brother... who just so happens to be horrendously smart and controls the house.”
Ethan shrugged as 'puter made an indignant sound.
“What he means to say is that I am invaluable and help him out when he is being a pain. If you'd like I can even program some on you're favourite movies into my data banks for you miss Roxi.”
“Oh, and now it seems he has switched from laughing to flirting.”
Ethan rolled his eyes, thankful that Roxi seemed be calming down a bit, he wondered what was the cause of the calm. Was it him, 'puter or the house. None of it mattered really, something had calmed her down a little and he was thankful for it. It felt weird having someone else's panic coursing through you. He glanced towards the stove and realised he didn't really want to cook just now, it would mean spending a longer time away from Roxi that he really wanted to right now. He'd rather go for Ethan's idea of awesome night with a movie plan.
Bad unhealthy food.. crisps.. chocolate.. fizzy drinks.. sugar cookies.. All manner of awesome sugary goodness. And a movie. Fan-bloody-tastic in his mind.
“Ok, If I promise you the biggest and best brunch ever... I say brunch because we are going to be having one of those obscene lie in's tomorrow I promise you... how do you feel about obscene amounts of unhealthy food, my deep backed bed like sofa thingy and a movie of some kind?”
Ethan grinned and grabbed two huge bottles of pepsi. They both had were metabolism so there was no point in grabbing one and a small lot of food and having to stand up again in around 10 minutes and fetch more. He didn't see the point of pretending to eat human amounts of food around humans let alone around other were's.

Roxi felt the amusement Ethan felt at her confusion and hit him across the stomach. She would have hit him around the head, but that would mean climbing up on the chair next to her or jumping and swatting at the same time. The former would alert him to what she was doing in time for him to move away and the latter required too much effort on her part.
“That is my house, he;s a bit sarcastic and can be a pain in the backside.. kinda like a kid brother... who just so happens to be horrendously smart and controls the house.”
The computer controlled the house? How exactly did it control the house? It was something that Roxi wasn't even able to contemplate, even when she was watching a Sci-Fi film. It was a constant source of amusement to Loki, who totally got not only how it would work, but also the advantages of it. He'd tried to explain it to her on a number of occasions, but was only ever met with a blank look or her nodding and smiling at him. He'd also tried to convince her to let him buy one for their apartment, at which point she woke up from her trance and told him exactly what she thought of the idea. They were a bloody fortune and would eat up practically all the money he had and then she'd have to pay the electricity bills. Beside, she doesn't want to live in a place where she's unable to do anything without first having to find the manual.
If he ever found out about 'puter, he'd either be impressed enough to forget this silly feud thing or be jealous enough to make it worse.
The 'puter made another noise, this time sounding rather annoyed. She looked up at the panel and frowned, wondering what was wrong with it and how she could actually ask. Her frown deepened as she realised she was actually caring about what was essentially an inanimate object that just happened to have a voice and personality.
“What he means to say is that I am invaluable and help him out when he is being a pain. If you'd like I can even program some on you're favourite movies into my data banks for you miss Roxi.”
“Oh, and now it seems he has switched from laughing to flirting.”
She bowed her head to hide the small smile that had appeared on her lips. This had to go into her list of 'Strangest Conversations Ever' and she had a feeling that it was going to be joined with a few more in the future. Who'd ever heard of a computer flirting? It was something that she'd never come across before, though she had to admit that she wasn't exactly that clued in with the Sci-Fi world. The closest she got to that genre was Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy, and that was only because she'd loved the books. Loki had tried to get her into it by introducing Star Wars and Star Trek. Whilst she loved the whole Force thing and the idea of light sabers, she didn't really understand the appeal. And Star Trek was just too geekified for her tastes. She was, strangely, more attracted to horror and how human's depicted Were's and Vampyres. Though mostly only so she could laugh at the inaccuracies.
She cuddled herself into his side and sighed contently, happy to notice that she was finally calming down. She knew she would, but she thought that it would take a bit longer than this. Of course, she still had to work out how to start the conversation about her past off. Thinking about it made her stomach fill with dread. It was one conversation that she wasn't looking forward to. She hadn't openly spoke about it since she told Loki all those years ago, and even then she'd skipped over as much s she could whilst leaving enough for it to make sense. She knew that she'd have to tell Ethan the full thing, which meant reliving the memories. She hoped that he would be strong enough to handle the emotions that went with them.
She quickly shook her head to free herself from this train of thought. No sense worrying about it until the time came and she didn't want Ethan to pick up on the dread she was feeling. Instead, she rested her chin on his chest and looked up at him with a smile, hoping that it would convince him everything was still okay.
“Ok, If I promise you the biggest and best brunch ever... I say brunch because we are going to be having one of those obscene lie in's tomorrow I promise you... how do you feel about obscene amounts of unhealthy food, my deep backed bed like sofa thingy and a movie of some kind?”
Roxi smiled even broader, this time meaning it. She pulled herself away from him and hopped up onto the work surface, sitting down on the edge and pulling him to her. She was vaguely aware of the 'puter sniggering again as she wrapped her arms around his neck. "That sounds perfect to me." Leaning forward, she kissed him deeply, running her fingers through his hair as she did. 'puter made a few noises, sounding like he was trying to gag, acting very much like the little brother Ethan had likened him to earlier. She pulled back and stuck her tongue out at the screen, mentally making note to do love-dovey stuff as much as possible, just to annoy it. She didn't have anything against it, but she was sure that she'd get annoyed with it at some point and so was starting to get her own back in advance. As Ethan pulled away to collect the junk food, she sat and swung her legs, looking for something that resembled a fridge. She felt bad for making Ethan do all the work collecting food for them both and so wanted to do her part. She frowned as she realised that most of the cupboards didn't actually appear to have doors. Or, at least, they didn't have any obvious ones. She jumped down and went to inspect one. Nope, nothing there. She put her hand out to touch the surface and it suddenly popped open. Hearing more of the techno-sniggering, she turned around and glared at the screen, before turning back to the open cupboard. She grinned as she found a selection of boxes and packet with 'Junk Food' practically written all over them. Grabbing as many as she could carry and then balancing even more on top of that, she all but skipped over to where Ethan was waiting and grinned at him, proud that she'd managed to find something she recognised in his Space Age kitchen.[/blockquote]

Her smile was worth it, it was worth anything, he would generally do anything to get her to do that as many times a day as possible... he would even buy a... heck it even hurt his brain a little to think of it... a mini for her. That would probably be the only way he could get her interested in cars beyond the effort of stealing Loki's car the the fun of it. He expected she may try and do the same to his cars if she could turn them on. He expected when she realised that 'puter was in his cars she might flee whilst 'puter offered to play her a DVD or something. He shook his head before he started getting jealous of his computer and his life mate...
"That sounds perfect to me."
As her hand slipped through his hair and she deepened the kiss his mind pretty much blanked out, she was good at that, like really good at that. Especially when it took him by surprise like just not. It had been the last thing he was expecting. Not that he was complaining in the slightest. He made a mental note to suggest vegging and movies more often.
He watched her intently as she moved around his kitchen, braver than his father had been anyway. His father hadn't worked out any of the cupboards but Roxi worked it out pretty fast. And pretty much located his junk food stash in about four seconds flat. Few people knew how much junk he ate... most people assumed that he ate lean meats and fruit all the time.. there was nothing he liked more than a huge brick of chocolate and a very large glass of pepsi.
He overloaded his own arms with junk food just as she was, when she skipped over to him he couldn't help the infectious smile on his face, grinning along with her he nodding in the direction of the huge open plan living room. He walked over to the Living room whilst 'puter put the TV on for him and closed the large doors that went directly from the garage into the living room. It was pretty obvious he was car and gadget mad the fact that when the door was fullopen it was as if the garage was actually a part of the living room.
The doors where nearly full shut and the huge mirrored wall had taken its place. The mirrors on the opposite wall had his lab behind them. He'd hate to show Roxi that at some point but he doubted she'd find much in there that she would be interested in. Gadgets were not something she seemed as obsessed with as him, but then if she was it would probably be worrying about argument over different version of gadgets.. he was very particular when it game to them...
He shook the thought from his head as he started putting drinks and food down onto the table in front of the large sofa, having everything nicely space out in front of them before throwing himself down onto the Sofa. He handed her one of the glasses so she could pick a drink of her choice, he nabbed the pepsi right away and poured himself a glass.
Ethan had an unnatural attraction to Pepsi, he could drink a gallon of the stuff. The only drink he favoured over Pepsi was red bull. He had gotten hooked on it when he had been building his first bike ages ago, he had barely slept for ages as he had got slightly obsessed with it. That bike had been split built back years ago now, half built by him, half by Eric. Ethan had to shake that free from his mind, thinking about his brother just made him plain angry, he didn't want to send that over to Roxi now she had finally relaxed a little.
“What film do you want to watch then?”
He grinned before realising that unlike most people he didn't have a DVD rack like most people as he just burned everything to 'puters hard drive and he just streamed them all to the TV. As much as Ethan liked gadgets he wasn't all that fond of having DVD players or all that cluttering up his TV space. His TV was too pretty to be cluttered... Yes he said his TV was pretty. “Just yell your choice at 'puter, he'll be able to find it. And seeing as how I'm being all nice to him he should put it straight one with no complications.” [/blockquote]

Roxi followed Ethan through to the living room and copied him as he placed all the food on the coffee table. She helped him arrange it so that it was in easy grabbing reach from the sofa and quickly grabbing a small handful of sweety type things. She popped a few in her mouth and looked around the room, taking it all in now that she could see it all.
The first thing she saw was Ethan reflected in the mirror, her eyes being drawn to the movement of him throwing himself onto the sofa. She smiled in his direction, knowing that he'd most likely be watching her, then wandered around the lounge quickly.
Everywhere she went there were gadgets of some description. She knew better than to touch them lest she break them, but the temptation was over whelming. She slipped her hands into Ethan's jacket pockets, trying to stop the itching on her palms.
She walked slowly over to the other mirrored wall. She'd realised that the first one was a huge door thing leading to the garage and wondered what was behind this one. She put her hand on the glass, and turned to Ethan with the question on her lips. When she saw him relaxed into the cushions, however, the curiosity died and she smiled at him.
She walked over to him, stopping just short of the sofa and removing his jacket. After placing it on the back of the chair, she grinned and jumped over to him, landing perfectly next to him. She cuddled up to him and grinned, popping another sweet in her mouth before kissing him.
“What film do you want to watch then?”
Roxi frowned up at him before looking around the room in confusion. Whilst quickly looking around the room, she hadn't seen any sign of DVD's, though she supposed that they could have been hidden away in an unseen cupboard somewhere. "Erm ... where exactly are they?" She turned back to him and frowned deeper when she saw his grin. She was obviously missing something here and she didn't like the feeling, even though it was only a minor thing. She realised again that she was being unfair to Ethan not telling him about her past, especially since it involved not only Loki but Eric too. “Just yell your choice at 'puter, he'll be able to find it. And seeing as how I'm being all nice to him he should put it straight one with no complications.”She grinned and snuggled up closer to him, trying to rack her brain for a film she fancied watching. She also fancied putting 'puter through it's paces and asking for a really obscure film. But, as always happened, she couldn't think of anything all that obscure. She sighed and rested her chin on his chest, realising that she was going to have to do something that Loki always hated her for doing. "I don't mind what we watch honey, you choose. Shove anything on and I'll watch it." She ran her fingers up and down his side subconsciously, still picking up on some of Loki's emotions. "I just want to spend time with you, it doesn't matter what we watch."Just as long as it keeps you in a good mood. She was going to tell him everything tonight. She was. She needed to keep him happy so that he didn't react badly. Perhaps a little bit drunk and / or sleepy too. [/blockquote]

Ethan pretty much forgot all about any type of movies as Roxi snuggled up to him. He slipped at arm around her and pretty much marvelled at the fact that they just seemed to fit so perfectly. Yes they where fated to be together but that didn't change the fact that he was thankful. So amazingly totally thankful for the woman laying in his arms right now. He was an arrogant ass. An Arrogant ass that did on occasion like to go out drinking with a bunch of his friends who where also arrogant asses. Albeit he had been doing a lot less of that now. However the fates and still seen fit to give him the goddess in his arms – why he had no idea.
He certainly hadn't done much to deserve it. He had a psycho brother... scratch that. Twin. Which he had only recently discovered and to be perfectly honest he had not dealt with. At All. He doubted any one in the family had since Eric and his mother had take a holiday to see their other Brother.
Although they hid it well Ethan knew he was in a dysfunctional family. They hid it because they had to. In a society where your mate was literally the perfect person for you dysfunctional families where nigh on impossible. There where even few elementals that had messed up families as they had a smidge of the instincts they had. The leeches had one too but the lot of them where dysfunctional.
He shook his head, ruffling his hear before he let the dark thoughts take a serious place is in his mind. This was not a good place for his head to be and he didn't want to go there. He looked to Rory to chase his demons away for him again as she rested her chin on his chest.
"I don't mind what we watch honey, you choose. Shove anything on and I'll watch it. I just want to spend time with you, it doesn't matter what we watch."
Usually he hated it when people did that... but it was really hard. Okay, it was impossible to hate some one when they where running their hand up and down his side like that. Also that he was picking up on the emotions she was giving out. She was relaxed so she couldn't tell if they where his or Loki's... but due to the nature of them he so did not care as they where tending to do to him what happened to most men when confronted with half naked (Because that top was practically not there) lying on top of you.
'Cause when in came down to it – the Brat Prince was male.
Film... yes he should be thinking about films, he let his hand trace patterns of her bare expanse of back whilst he tried to convince his brain into picking a film. There where plenty of films he loved to watch.. but he wasn't interested in watching a film right now, more watching Roxi. Yes again, he is still male.
“Er... Stick Hot Fuzz on 'Puter”
Ethan grinned whilst not even looking at the TV as it flicked on, scrolled through a very long list of H's before selecting Hot Fuzz and starting it. He really was not interesting in the film... God he was feeling like a hormonal teenage...

Roxi sighed contently as Ethan started tracing patterns across her back, loving the sensation of it. She cuddled in closer to him, placing a leg carefully over his so she could get even closer. When it came down to it, she was a very tactile person. She blamed her cat for that, but she had a feeling that she was even more tactile than most other cats. She was certainly more so than the very few she'd met since leaving the Moonlit Court, but she just put that down to the fact they were still prejudice against the Fallen. It was something that was hardwired into their brains and it was difficult to get around. She wasn't all that sure she'd have been able to do it if it weren't for the fact she'd been so vulnerable at the time and Loki had been so ... forgiving, wasn't exactly the word, but forceful seemed a little mean. And the Andvari's had been so much like a second family to her it was impossible to think any less of them because of their race.
She rested her head lightly on Ethan's chest, automatically tilting her head towards him. Even though she was tactile, she still felt like she needed permission to be like this. She still didn't know where Ethan drew the line between friendly and whorish, but she supposed that didn't really matter. They were Life Mates after all, it was going to happen sooner or later.
“Er... Stick Hot Fuzz on 'Puter”
Ethan's voice vibrated through her and, coupled with the hand still tracing over her skin, sent shivers down her spine. Acting completely on impulse, she wriggled her way further up the sofa so she was level with him, cringing slightly as their leather trousers squeaked. She was going to kill Loki for that when she saw him next. He wouldn't know what for, but she would. He ruined the moment with his stupid poxy choice in clothing, and he was going to pay for it.
She moved slightly to get in a more comfortable position, causing the trousers to squeak even more. An annoyed snarl escaped her throat before she could stop it. Stupid bloody trousers, I'm gonna fricking take them off soon if they don't stop squeaking. The thought formed in her head, bringing some interesting scenario's along with it. She was shocked by what she was thinking. This wasn't her, surely? Yes, Ethan was her life Mate, but she'd never had these kinds of thoughts before. All her thoughts had been waking up next to him, holding his hand as they walked through London, being handed their children ... She'd never really given much thought on how the child actually came to be ... This had to be Loki's thoughts popping into her head and forming themselves into something more relevant to her. She pulled back from Ethan slightly, giving herself room to think. Loki had been horny around her before and she'd never reacted like this. Though she hadn't found her Ethan when he had been. Maybe that was what was causing it. Having Ethan's emotions running through her system as well. It was well known that all the Kavanagh sons had practically worked their way through both Court and London, it was only natural for him to be feeling like this. She just didn't like having other people's emotions playing havoc with her own. She quickly slammed her shields into place, sure that that would bring come clarity to her mind. She looked back to Ethan then leaned forward to kiss him, running her hand up and down his chest as she did so. Huh, guess they were my emotions after all.[/blockquote]

Ethan was pretty much holding his breath as Roxi shifted above him, the leather trouser creaking and her top shifting lightly. The front of her top riding up slightly and the view he had was her bare back and leather clad legs. He was going to have to have an incredibly cold shower at some point tonight if she kept this up. Ethan would never pressure her into anything, it wasn't like he was short of time but when it came down to it, as he had already noted several times tonight he was Male.
And any man with a virtually topless girl weather leather pants wiggling around of top of you? Give the poor man a break.
She pulled back slightly and he offered her the best reassuring smile he could given the situation. He watched her features carefully to make sure he wasn't making her uncomfortable. Using his empathic link to try and get a read on her emotions as she abruptly slammed her shields up. Pretty much tripping anything she was feeling and firing it straight back at him in a similar manor to how she had done earlier. Except this time they where a heck of a lot more pleasurable emotions but it was now taking every single last bit of his will not to flip them over so he was on top of her.
He should have had a medal for doing this. Seriously.
Ethan was doing well too, well as well as he could whilst trying to think about how you disassemble and reassemble a bike with speeds whilst working out masses of random chemicals in his mind. Just as he was getting to the 6th element and a good way through the engines.... yes both where necessary to distract him under the onslaught of emotions.
He was so busy distracting himself however he didn't notice her moving down to kiss him again, her hands on his chest which was still shirtless due to the fact he had once again forgot to get himself dressed properly.
Her hand pretty much vaporised his control as he shifted their position with pretty much blinding speed so she was lay on the sofa whilst he balanced his weight about a centimetres from her so as not to make her uncomfortable. Using his telekinesis to make the switch even quicker and ensure that she barely even felt the movement until her head rested back into the pillow. Ethan even made sure not to break the kiss at the same time. It wasn't that he had practised said move much, especially not in his own home, he never brought a girl back to his house and even if he had never met Roxi that night he never would.
Any thoughts however fled his mind as he broke the kiss, a vaguely guilty look crossing his features at the same time although he didn't move in the slightest, being quite comfortable where he was even though he felt horrendously guilty. His cat however really didn't. If his cat was sitting in the room he would be sat in the corner licking his paws whilst silently gloating to people in the room.
“Love, If you don't put your shields down any time soon I swear I'm not going to be held responsible for my actions what with you broadcasting your.... emotions …. like that.
Ethan leaned down unnecessarily to speak to her, enjoying the proximity a lot more that he veer had at any point of his life. No matter who he had been with he had never felt... like this before. She had him completely wrapped around her little finger and would likely know it by now.
