“Roxanne, stop! I’ll handle this” Ethan nearly jumped out of his skin when he felt the powers seep from his words, that was going to get weird really fast and it was something that he really had to learn how to control pretty fast or was going to cause issues. It had never been an issue before... it had never really worked on supernaturals before... this was going to be awekward. “Did you just … Please tell me you didn’t just try to control me, cuz that is not going to end well for you if you did! Guess you and me have a lot to learn about each other.” Ethan couldn't help the smile that spread across his face, even in this kind of situation. The fact she had said they had a lot to learn about each other was enough to raise his spirits. He felt the determination coming from her and let it replace the grief. Determination he could deal with, grief was not something he could deal with very well. He took the several steps towards his brother, if his life mate was going to try and fight him he was damned well going to be there as well. Ethan was a step ahead of Roxanne and felt the cold chill scream across his back as the ice wall fell into place. Separating him from her... feeling like a punch in his stomach. Leaving him looking into the eyes of his Brother who had finally broken free of his hold. As much as he hated the separation, it made his next task easier. His mind crystallised, into one thing. Beyond fear, pain, grief and even anger. Just into one word Threat.
His brother might have been speaking to him but the only thing he could hear was the word Threat resonating through his head. His brother being telepathic practically flinched at the volume he was yelling it within his mind. Giving the were a bit of a head ache. Ethan lunged for him brother who took a step back, away from Ethan. He wasn't however fast enough as Ethan's power slammed him forwards into Ethan's fists. His brother spotted holding back immediately. Forcing his own gift onto Ethan. The two had never used there abilities on each other in this was was but it seemed all rules where out of the window tonight. As the pain tore through Ethan his scream of pain morphed practically into a roar. Having the opposite reaction to what he had wanted. Trying to placate Ethan had just made things worse. Ethan tore away from his, tearing his shift clear of his body at the same time. His eyes shifted first and that was when Eric got worried again.. not for the first time tonight either. It was well known fact that you never get between a man and his mate. Eric was now finding that out first hand, and he knew how much training Ethan had gotten over the years. Eric wasn't brilliant at hand to hand combat, he'd never needed to be, he had his gift which wasn't working properly on his brother. Ethan shifted into his cat form so fast in front of Eric he thought he might of hallucinated it. The other brother followed suit but no where near as fast as Ethan had managed. In the cat forms they where perfectly identical. Each had one blue eye and one green eye and both where the same pitch black colour. Both where practically indistinguishable as the fought, both tearing at each other without a care. Ethan still thinking Threat and Eric finally realising he couldn't win. He had gotten a number of good hits in but he had to leave. He fled and left Ethan who was still shaking with rage. Ethan was torn between two things, His mate was on the other side of that ice but the thread was escaping. His cat mind torn between two of the most important things it could conceive of right now. He transformed back into his human form, standing with his trousers still vaguely torn and his shirt practically one. 4 large claw marks went across his chest with blood still leaking from them. Injuries that Ethan was readily ignoring until he had gotten to Roxi. He thrust his hands forward, barely touching the ice and thrust his telekinetic power into it. Pushing it far beyond anything he had even tried to attempt during his life. The cracks starting to appear in the thick ice draining his power alarmingly fast. He got through enough to seat the people on the other side, enough to see a glimpse of Roxanne's hair before he dropped to his knees and promptly passed out.[/blockquote]

Roxi walked straight into the wall and immediately started to panic. She banged against it, hitting it harder with pound, needing to get to her mate. On the other side of this wall was the man that had killed her entire family. It didn’t matter that that man was also his twin, he was a threat to him. She needed to get rid of that threat.
‘’Would anyone care to tell me what the fek I just got myself into?’’ She spun around at the familiar voice and snarled at him, words not even coming close to how she felt about him at that moment. He was the reason she wasn’t able to protect her Mate, and that was not a very good person to be right now.
As Loki started to laugh, she turned her glare to him, immediately regretting it when he started coughing up blood. She rushed to his side, panic raising in her chest. The fact she could feel Ethan’s determination to fight wasn’t helping her keep calm. She brushed her hair over her shoulders and wiped his mouth, wanting to make him better again.
“Well... you walked into a dramatic turn of events that are utterly beyond the word sense it is laughable!” Roxi laughed and shook her head, trust Loki to make light of the situation. Only he could manage to do that in the middle of a fight, after having fallen unconscious for possibly the first time in his life. Well, the first time that didn’t have anything to do with trying to keep up with her drinking.
“When did you get here anyway? Did the earth move and make you think of me there Pat?” Rox stopped laughing and looked down at her brother. When he eventually made eye contact, she raised her eye brow at him and watched as he turned away.
She dropped her hand from his hair and slowly stood up, taking deep calculated breaths. So not only had he not told her about his terra abilities, he’d also told a complete stranger! She glared between the pair of them and clicked her fingers, jumping slightly as sparks flew from her fingers.
She watched as Loki sat up and sighed in pain, surprised when she didn’t feel the need to go over and comfort him. She was too hurt at the moment and, for Ethan’s sake, she had to keep it towards the anger side of things.
”You ... you told ... you ... “ She growled in frustration and dragged her hands through her hair. She was too angry to speak to him at the moment. She knew all this anger she was feeling wasn’t her own, but she hadn’t got used to having another persons emotions flowing through her body. She paced up and down, unconsciously moving closer to the wall, to Ethan. As her side brushed against it, her head snapped up, directing her anger to someone else. She looked at Pat and growled. Rationally, she knew all this wasn’t his fault, but that didn’t matter now. ”How did you know? Why did he tell you?! I’m his sister for gods’ sake!” Before he could answer, she rounded on Loki, angry tears staring to make tracks down her cheeks. ”I’m your bloody sister and you didn’t tell me! Your sister, Loki! Or does that mean jack to you any more?” She paced faster, needing to vent her anger somewhere and not quite confident enough in her powers to use them. ”I thought you were different to him, Lok, but you’re all the bloody same! Rikki kept things from me and look where that got us all!” She shook her head, wanting to take it back. She knew that all this had nothing to do with that, but dammit, she was confused and angry and separated from her fighting mate by a bloody wall of ice. She took a few deep breaths and looked back at Loki, letting the hurt seep through into her eyes. She took a step closer and whispered her next words; ”I could have helped if you’d told me. It could have been different. I would have helped...” She wasn’t sure who she was talking to any more; tonight had been too much for her. She’d gone from finally being able to say goodbye to watching everything happen all over again. [/blockquote]

''Did the earth move and make you think of me there Pat?''
Patrick looked down at Loki in confusion. ''Was he just hitting on me in the middle of a fight?'' Not exactly the most pressing question of the moment but still a good one.
With everyone so confused, angry and in pain their thoughts were right out there like neon signs. So Roxi had found her mate. He wished he could find his partner so badly. That's if one even existed for him.
''You...you told...you...''
Hearing Roxi growl was really rather unexpected. Pat had heard about some wierd connection that drew weres together, but didn't know anything about it.
''How did you know? Why did he tell you? I'm his sister for gods' sake!''
Pat ignored Roxi's ranting for the time being and focused in on the men the other side of the wall. They were definitely twins but hardly identical. From Ethan Pat could read power and a burning need to get to his mate. From Eric all he could feel was cold hate and sadism.
''I could have helped if you'd told me. It could have been different. I could have helped...''
It was time to step in again before everything went to hell real quick. Pat walked over and stood beside Roxi, looking toward the wall. He radiated calm feelings at her and then spoke.
''Listen close Roxi cos there isn't much time. I read minds so I can tell you Loki has never told anyone about this.'' As he was speaking he lined up twenty ice shards on the floor. ''He didn't tell you cos he was trying to spare you. Now I need you to put this aside and extend your shield around us. Cos here goes nothing.''
Then with a gesture the ice wall disappeared in a cloud of mist.

Loki was pretty much at a loss for words. There was nothing he could really tell Roxi about why he had never told her about his terra-pathetic ability. Generally he liked to pretend that it didn't even exist. It was bad enough that most people in the fallen knew about it although no one ever brought it up in conversation. His parents never even spoke to him about it, his mother had tried a few times but that was years ago in Loki's youth. Very few people had brought it up in conversation since. The only reason Patrick knew was the fact he wasn't quite about his thoughts when they first met... Loki really wasn't used to telepaths.
''Listen close Roxi cos there isn't much time. I read minds so I can tell you Loki has never told anyone about this., He didn't tell you cos he was trying to spare you. Now I need you to put this aside and extend your shield around us. Cos here goes nothing.''
Loki decided he really just wanted to fall over and rest, in a bed would be nice. Or even a sofa at this point. Although there wasn't likely to be any chance of that, He jumped up to pull Roxi out of the way, knowing he was about to do something to the wall that was keeping her from Ethan. He pulled her away and promptly fell over again, his legs still a little week from the Evil bastard that had been attacking him earlier.
He dragged Rox down with him, His skin wasn't as hot as usual so he had little to work about. Plus... he was about to get covered in a giant slush wall if he knew what was going on.
“I'm sorry I didn't tell you, I've spent the last 64 years blocking it out and pretending it didn't happen. It's why you never see me around any other Elementals. Except for Patrick... but he's crazy.” He grinned before getting covered in mist from the wall getting him annoyingly wet. He frowned for a second before sliding Rox to the side for a second, raising his temperature to a higher point to cause the water to mist off him. He let go completely of Rox and he saw Ethan fall to the ground, knowing that she would need to go to him after feeling it through the link, he still wanted to kick the man, but more so he wanted to tear apart his blasted twin. Rox could feel Pat’s calming influence around her, but it totally failed to affect her; her shields were too strong for that. She took a step back and glared at him, struggling not to hit him. The fact that this guy who she hardly knew was trying to control her emotions really grated on her, and if it weren’t for the fact more important things were happening right now, she’d have told him so.
''Listen close Roxi cos there isn't much time. I read minds so I can tell you Loki has never told anyone about this., He didn't tell you cos he was trying to spare you. Now I need you to put this aside and extend your shield around us. Cos here goes nothing.''
Okay, that explained it all. It still bugged her to hell and back that he didn’t trust her with this, but she could understand it.
She looked over to Loki, wanting to apologise for being so harsh to him, but before she could she was pulled towards him, falling with him as he tripped. They landed on a heap on the ground and Roxi laughed, hugging him to her. She frowned as she felt his skin was cooler than usual and shot him a worried look, quickly throwing some more heat into him.
“I'm sorry I didn't tell you, I've spent the last 64 years blocking it out and pretending it didn't happen. It's why you never see me around any other Elementals. Except for Patrick... but he's crazy.”
Roxi nodded, seeing it clearly now. She couldn’t believe that she’d been living with him and his family for twenty years and the separation between Loki and the other elementals never caught her attention; she’d just thought he’d preferred being around her.
She opened her mouth to apologise and this time got a mouthful of mist. She sputtered and went to complain to Pat, who she assumed had caused it, when she felt as though someone had thrown a punch in her stomach.
She jumped up and watched as Ethan hit the floor. She sprinted over to him, screaming his name and saw the lashes across his chest and wondered how she hadn’t felt them being made. The connection was still there, it couldn’t be broken, but she hadn’t felt them at all. All she’d felt from him was anger and the need to eliminate the threat.
She knelt next to him and kissed his forehead, wiping the blood away from his wounds. They were deep, but nothing that would do any lasting damage; he’d be healed in a few hours maximum.
She looked around for Eric and saw him pacing in the distance. Satisfied that he wasn’t any immediate threat, she looked to Loki. ”Can you help me move him? He’s too big for me to do it myself and I don’t know how bad he’s hurt; I don’t want to make it worse.” She smiled at him, hoping that everything that had happened between them was behind them, at least for now, then turned back to her Mate. ”It’ll be okay, Ethan. I’ll make sure of it…” If Eric so much as took another step towards them, it’d be the last one he ever made. [/blockquote]

Ethan groggily woke up to Roxi running over to him. Note to self... Don't try to explode ice walls after having large fights with your brother. His head was pounding like he was horrendously hung over. He felt a compulsion to fall asleep, he had already shifted forms since he had gotten the wounds on his chest so his body was not putting effort into healing them. He could feel his brother was still near... but he was far enough away from him. Eric logically would of known by now it would be difficult to pursue any attack on Roxanne now. He'd made it known to him that he had found his mat, and that he was more than willing to protect her.
He blinked his eyes rapidly as he felt hands on him, expecting the irritation to raise in his chest and Ethan was never a fan of being touched. This was just making him want to cuddle up and fall asleep again. He glanced up and saw Roxi's face, he scooted himself a little closer to Roxi, well best he could whilst all of his energy was being directed into the wounds on his chest, it was handy having the ability to heal your wounds very quickly but it did tend to sap your energy quickly.
“Can you help me move him? He’s too big for me to do it myself and I don’t know how bad he’s hurt; I don’t want to make it worse.”
He tried to wave her off, he wasn't that badly injured. His brother had only managed to use his ability on him once for barely a few seconds before he had transformed. But that might have something to do with the exhaustion too. It was never a good thing to try ans transform too quickly but Ethan had put himself into a place in his mind where the only thing he had cared about was eliminating the threat. He hadn't even felt when he'd gotten the wounds on his chest.
“It’ll be okay, Ethan. I’ll make sure of it…”
He dropped his hands over one of hers. Coming to the point when he couldn't even really say that today had been a bad bad. Yes his brother had just gone insane practically and tried to kill his mate and then fought him. But he had his mate taking care off him afterwards. He could however sense her feelings towards Eric – he knew something was there between them. They had obviously met before and not for the first time tonight was he regretting fathers order for Ethan to keep out his brothers work.
“I'm good, just feel like someone split my skull in two is all.” He glanced around and finally took in the rest of his settings beyond Roxi. Seeing the elemental that had attacked him earlier sitting on the ground looking as if he was about to come over. He focused on their link and recognised him as friendly and relaxed, His eyes scanned over to the other man and he raised his eyebrow. Even when he was half out of it he could still have the attitude of a prince when he was confronted with something he wasn't impressed with. And the man had lots of bits of ice pointed at him... “Any reason that man has shards of Ice pointed at me? He moved subconsciously closer to Roxi again, reasons two fold. Wanting to bee closer to her and wanting to make sure she was safe. Ethan wasn't getting a good read on his relationship with the other man with the Ice shards and it was making him slightly edgey. Damn! The man had escaped. Patrick knew the man’s abilities and so knew that Eric was dangerous at the best of times. But when he couldn’t be seen it was even worse. Pat opened his mind and searched for him. He was definitely still in the area but Pat didn’t know where.
‘’I can’t fight what I can’t see.’’
Patrick layed a film of mist along the ground to give him warning if anyone should approach.
Turning back he looked at the people who now appeared to be his allies. Loki wasn’t going to be getting up in a hurry. Ethan was torn up and fighting unconsciousness. As for Roxi, she may have found new powers within herself but she was too conflicted to be effective against a concerted attack from someone like Eric. That just left Pat as an effective and the odds didn’t look good.
‘’Any reason that man has shards of ice pointed at me?’'
Pat turned to regard Ethan. The man wasn’t used to helplessness at all and it had him a bit unnerved. Obviously neither he nor Roxi trusted him right now and that wasn’t good for any of them. Pat reformed two of the shards into a hand and extended it toward him.
‘’Hi, I’m Patrick.’’
Patrick didn’t catch his reply as he got a suddenly clear transmission of Eric’s thoughts. He was expecting at least ten reinforcements within the next few minutes. That meant this definitely wasn’t a safe place to be.
‘’Excuse me guys but this isn’t over yet. We should really get out of here. My car is just in those bushes and my house is fortified so I suggest me move this there.’’

“Excuse me guys but this isn’t over yet. We should really get out of here. My car is just in those bushes and my house is fortified so I suggest me move this there.’’
Loki groaned before dragging himself to his feet, he was really enjoying sitting down. He brushed himself down before feeling the ground shift beneath him. Not where near the intensity as it had been earlier.. but it was disconcerting... as it had never happened before. He glanced down to the ground puzzled and a little nervous about it. He'd only ever really practiced enough with the ability when he first got it. And due to non use it hadn't evolved or grown like every ability every elemental had. Until right now.
He stood a little unsteady on the ground before pointing at it. Probably looking the least confident that he had in his whole life... ever.
“I may have an issue here with the ground...”
He took a few quick steps towards Ethan to help Loki, the floor not shaking so much but the earth was still displacing it. “Yup... definite issue... I hope we can all fit in your car Pat cause I'm not going to be able to spare the attention for when it comes to driving.” He grinned masking the unease he felt at the knowledge his terrapathic ability had advanced a little. He was quite happy with pretending it wasn't there to be perfectly damned honest. It had been more trouble than it was worth when it all came down for it. He glanced at Rox as he knew she would feel his unease at this sudden jump. He was hoping she would be could and help cover for him.. he really didn't like being seen as anything less that arrogant and brash. Heck he didn't even have the energy to flirt past the line he'd gotten out earlier... which was mad as he hadn't even got slapped for it. He moved to pull Ethan up to pull him up to standing, his skin still a lower temperature so he would just feel like a standard warm person. Which was good as burning your sisters Life-Mate was probably not a good idea... [/blockquote]

Roxi smiled to Ethan as he scooted closer to her, running her hand over his hair. She'd never been a particularly tactile person, which was pretty unheard of in a cat, hell she'd only recently got over shaking hands with a stranger, but with Ethan she felt comfortable doing this. He wasn't a stranger to her, even though they had only just met; it felt like she'd known him years.
She shivered slightly as Pat created a mist around them, probably to try and cloud their group from Eric. Whilst it was a good move, it also clouded her vision. She'd only just been able to see Eric before, now he was completely disguised to them. She ran her fingers through her Mates hair subconsciously as she tried to see through the mist.
“I'm good, just feel like someone split my skull in two is all.” She snapped back to her current location and smiled warmly at Ethan, bending to kiss his head. She knew it was pretty pathetic in the way of actually helping, but she couldn't really do anything more. At least, not until they got to a healer of some kind.
She watched as Ethan sat up and surveyed her brother and Patrick, feeling him relax as he realised they didn't pose any form of threat. That was, until they both noticed the shards of ice pointing directly at him thanks to Pat.
"Any reason that man has shards of ice pointed at me?’'
Roxi hissed at him in warning, sending him a mental warning:Lose the shards, or lose your arms. She watched as he quickly reformed the shards and smiled as they became an outstretched hand. Okay, he might not have to loose his arms. At least not yet, the jury was still out on him. She cuddled herself closer to Ethan, waiting for Loki to manage to get himself up again. She felt him relax even more and realised that he was incredibly tired due to fighting and healing. She moved him slightly into a less comfortable position, trying to make it so he was less likely to sleep; if he had a head injury of any kind, it could be dangerous for him to do so and she wouldn’t be able to concentrate on anything if she was worrying about him. ‘’Excuse me guys but this isn’t over yet. We should really get out of here. My car is just in those bushes and my house is fortified so I suggest me move this there.’’ Roxi sat up and stared at Pat, shocked that he had suggested that they leave. To her, that wasn’t even an option. She ran her hand over Ethan’s, taking comfort in the fact he was there, then held it tight as the ground shook. She shot her head around to face Loki and saw him stood trying to get purchase on the unsteady ground. “I may have an issue here with the ground...” She watched as he took a few shaky steps, the ground moving below his feet. “Yup... definite issue... I hope we can all fit in your car Pat cause I'm not going to be able to spare the attention for when it comes to driving.” She glared at him as he came over and lifted Ethan to his feet, wincing as she felt his warm skin against her, still frozen from pushing her heat into him. She still hadn’t got the confidence in her powers to try to warm herself how she would normally. ”You think I’m just going to run away from the guy who killed my family? Again?” She stood up and pointed to where Eric was still pacing. She closed her eye and searched through her memories, cringing as she showed Pat clips of everything that had happened twenty years ago and since. She needed him to see what he’d done to her family, she needed him to understand everything that she’d gone through and why she couldn’t just run away. She knew that both Loki and Ethan would feel everything that she did and she didn’t even try to hide the pain, the guilt, every single emotion that she’d felt. She let the memories finish and quickly bottled them up again, mentally shoving them into the deepest part of her mind. Taking a deep breath, she turned to Loki and smiled weakly. ”You’ve trained me up pretty good; you had to know that I wouldn’t run away. You don’t have to stay, but I well am.” She walked up to him and kissed his cheek. To be honest, she’d rather he didn’t stay. He was hurt as it was and she couldn’t bare for him to get even more beat up; Mum would kill her for one. ”Send Mum and Dad my love, I’ll see you when I get home. Oh, and tell them I had nothing to do with this” She gestured quickly to Loki’s injuries and winced. ”They’d kill me” She smiled at Ethan, hoping that he’d go with the other two but she knew that if it were the other way around, he wouldn’t be able to get rid of her. She quickly turned away and walked forward towards where Eric was now assembled with his back up. A growl escaped her throat as she threw all the heat she could gather into circle around his group, changing into her black panther form and running straight towards them. [/blockquote]

Ethan tilted his head to one side and studied the ice hand, OK that was creepy. He did how ever shake it and making sure he looked entirely cool with it.
“Kavanagh” Was pretty much all he said is way of greeting, there was too much going on right now to go into it anyfuther.
Ethan could pretty much sense where this conversation was going, he knew what Roxi;s intentions where so put most of his wait onto Loki for a few seconds to collect his energy. Vaguely registering what was going on whilst he tapped into the link that he shared with his father. Telling him that he had found his mate, and getting the response from his father that he was completely over joyed. Father had been badgering him for years now about finding his mate, saying he would need to have found her before he was made king. If not just for the power boost but to balance out his personality. Ethan Snr was harder on Ethan compared to his other brothers on the point of finding his mate. As such his father was probably smiling his head off around about now. Something which the man never did outside of his own home. Being King did hold him back from some things, but he took it in his stride.
”You think I’m just going to run away from the guy who killed my family? Again?”
Ethan's eyes snapped back to Roxi for a moment as he took that in. He really had to get to the bottom of this story at some point. He put his mind back to concentrating on the connection with his father for a moment, realising he was probably giving the old man emotional whiplash. He could feel concern and questioning coming from him, probably due to just that. Feeling his dad on the edge of his mind he tried to to flinch at the sensation. His fathers ability still unnerved him some what the fact that he could communicate with any one no matter what the distance. It was like some out poking you in the brain.
“Ethan what exactly is going on son?”
“Complications. I know about Eric.” “Eric is good at his Job Ethan, I've warned him about getting too caught up on his powers but no-one has reported him using excessive force for nearly 20 years now. What has this got to do with your life mate?” “Well, It seems Eric wants to kill her, Traitor to the throne... .” Ethan's father cut him off before he could even finish the sentence. “You're life-mate Ethan is my Daughter – I cannot see her being a traitor to the Throne? Is she Other?” “No, she is a were, her name is Roxanne...” “... O'Hara? ” “Things went to hell from point one, I haven't even gotten that far...” “I won't be long.”[/blockquote] Ethan got a snap back of anger and something that was pretty alien when coming from his father. Guilt? That was just strange his father had always shown him not to show guilt for any decision made, especially for those made in the courts. He was shaking from his thoughts as Roxi made her final decision. She dashed of towards Eric. He took a deep breath before following her, breaking into a fast jog, pacing himself and pushing back all the pain in his body and completely ignoring it. He would follow her into fire if he had too and that was seemingly what he was doing. [/blockquote]

Well things were going from bad to worse. As if Ethan and ten werecats weren't bad enough now their target, Roxi, had changed and charged into them. This was just terrific, Roxi was delivering herself to them on a plate. The next thing Pat knew Ethan had changed too and roared off after his mate.
''Well so much for trying to help. Oh well if you can't beat 'em, join 'em.''
Pat gathered up all of the mist and converted it into dozens of foot long shards of ice. He then took out his keys and tossed them to Loki.
''If you'd rather wait in the car we'll handle it.''
He just needed to wait for his moment. Right now everything was just fur and confusion. If just one cat would...There! A clean shot. One of the ice spikes that was dangling in the air sped off and impaled a werecat that was trying to take Roxi from behind. But it drew the attention of two other cats and they charged toward Pat.
''Oh sweet Jasus.''
He could run, this wasn't his fight. But Roxi had shown him what happened to her family, it was so much like what happened to his parents. The thoughts gave him a new surge of power like he'd never experienced before. The ice floated back towards him and started fitting to the contours all over his body. He clapped his hands. It was solid yet he could still move with ease.
The next moment he was tackled by two tonnes of very rare cat meat.
Pat concentrated on his hands and saw himself grow talons of ice. These he promptly dug into the eyes of the cat ontop of him. Rolling from beneath it he turned to face the second cat, which had stopped to stare at him. Mistake. It was imediately stabbed through the back of the head by an ice shard.
''This is awesome.''
Revelling in his new found ability Patrick walked toward the fight to assist Ethan and Roxi.

“Damn it all”
Loki cursed shaking his head as he put Pat's keys into a safe place. He'd much rather have this fight another time when he was more prepared and less at risk of his new ability. And when he knew he was coming up against, all he knew was that Eric was down there and some unknown back up. None of that really mattered when it came down to it now though as his sister had just run on into the middle of the enemy. He glanced at the ground and was still to unstable to work like this. It took a few seconds to come to him and the several cats hurtling towards Pat pretty much made his decision for him. In his cat form he didn't have the ability to create fire balls or explosion... he had basic manipulation and could create or destroy fire at will. So being in that form held some of his abilities back.. that seemed like the only answer for how to get rid of this ability for a few moments. As Pats ability seemed to take on a life of its own he grinned back at him, getting a nice surge of confidence realising that he finally had something he could do. “I'm not out of this fight yet mate.” Loki grinned before taking a few steps forward and breaking out into a run, jumping and transforming himself into a very large bronze cat. At least a foot higher that the cats that had attacked Patrik and bigger than Roxi and Ethan too. As he hit the floor flames licked across his fur as his now feline muscles moved beneath his tarnished coat. He rounded on a cat that had circled around to pounce on Ethan, covering ground faster than the other cats thanks to his size. He launched himself into the hide of the cat, his claws slicing deep and scalding there way into the cats skin as he lunged to get his teeth towards the beast neck. Both of them crashing to the ground, thee crack of ribs and bones rang out for Loki as he slammed into the cats body before he used the cat as a springboard and shot of in the direction of Roxi. Rox ran straight towards the other group, her feet crunching on the frost that now covered the ground. Her breath came out in quick foggy bursts due to the now frozen atmosphere her pulling heat out of the air had caused. She smiled, hoping Pat at least enjoyed the ridiculous amounts of water that hung every where.
She didn't bother to look back. She didn't want to know if Loki or Pat were joining the fight; she couldn't fight if she were worried about them both. She felt Ethan running behind her mentally groaning to herself as he felt his determination to ignore the pain he was in.
She as she drew closer to the flames, she had felt the heat. She wasn't worried about the fire herself. Thanks to Loki being close, she was all but fire proof; things would have to get a lot hotter for it to affect her.
She was, however, worried about Ethan and Pat, neither of whom would be used to the intense heat both Loki and, to some extent, she could handle. She cursed herself as she prepared to jump over the heat and dropped the heat of the flames around that area, hoping Ethan would have the sense to follow directly behind her. She wasn't sure what she could do about Pat, she just hoped he was able to do something long range and not have to come too close; things would soon get much hotter and she wasn't sure how the Water Elemental would react to it.
As she sailed over the fire, it felt as though she had gone from a freezer to a sauna. It took her a second to get used to the quick temepature change, giving the now shifted group an oppurtunity to attack. Her paws had barely touched the ground when she was once again airbourne, this time with a leopard on top of her.
As they hit the ground, she rolled, managing to throw him off into the direction of the fire. She didn't have time to see what happened, however, as she was quickly set upon by another pair of cats.
She felt something hit the ground behind her, but didn't look around; there wasn't time.
She looked around for Ethan quickly but instead of finding him she saw the fire cat form of her brother. She sent him a quick burst of thanks, before jumping onto the back of another cat and biting the scruff of it's neckm sinking her teeth in deep.

Ethan followed Rox into the fight, following her exact footsteps as she dove through the fire, not thinking on it but trusting in her to take him on a safe path through the flames. She was dragged down before she hit the ground which wasn't surprising, the climate change was enough to disorientate Ethan for a few seconds and he was currently pushing back everything he was feeling and concentrating purely on the fight and Roxi. The cat that had taken down Roxi had another waiting on the ground, Ethan angled himself towards it, taking out his frustrations of the back another one had attacked his mate onto the animal that nearly bolted as Ethan slammed down with his full force, crushing him to the ground with his teeth firmly embedded in his neck. Shortly after he dashed of in the direction of Rox who was running with a significantly larger cat the scent registering him as the Elemental? That was something he had never seen an elemental do before. Fire licked across his back as he ran, and it was obviously making a few of the cats edgy around him. Unsurprisingly.
Mary-Ann had felt the happiness surging from Eric and his frustration long before she felt the echo of Ethan's proclamation that he had found his mate. The glass she had been holding in her hand was soon shattered across the window. She knew who her son's true mate was, she'd picked up on it when the girl had been barely ten. She'd seen the open connection waiting for her son, and she had done everything possible to keep them apart since. She couldn't unwind their attachment until they where already attached, which would completely kill the whole point of keeping her dealings off the radar and away from her husbands prying eyes. Since the last incident twenty years ago the man had been watching her closely and it was taking serious effort on her behalf too keep the life-mate bond between them. As far as she knew Ethan Snr. had no idea they where not true mates. That would be the damned well way it would stay.
She stood up from her chair and snarled to no-one in particular. Her husband was of in the study some where and she had been relaxing in the sitting room after a decent mean, generally a good day. Until just now. It was obvious Ethan had found the little brat child she had wanted dead long ago and it was blatant that Ethan was going to fight for her. She blatantly sent her frustrations towards Eric, stating that if he had done his job properly twenty damned years ago none of this would be happening right now. But no, for some reason Eric couldn't kill her twenty years ago. Luckily she had had twenty long years to work on him away from Ethan Snr.'s influence and Eric would not hesitate ever again. At least he wouldn't if he knew what was good for him.
Mary-Ann stormed out of her room and through the corridors until she came to General Darlington's room. Barring her son he was one of her most trusted allies. That and he could assemble men without being detected and he could teleport them to any location she specified. That and like most people who knew the sweet demure wife was a façade he was totally and utterly terrified of her. She kicked the door open and Darlington flew from his bed, the blonde girl on his bed rushed to cover herself up. She rolled his eyes and sneered at him.
“Get dressed and get as many men as you can right now, my son has gotten himself into a predicament I don't wish the kind to find out.”
“Yes My Lady”
Barely ten minutes later Darlington, herself and eight other cats where assembled in the woods nicely in time for a pretty battered Eric to run over to them. He got with two feet before he dropped to the floor completely silently screaming in pain. Mary-Anne did not appreciate noise when using her ability so always silenced those she felled. She was also far more powerful than her errant son. She walked past him and delivered a swift kick into his rib, caring not for any damage she may inflict on him.
She transformed to her feline form as did all the men around her just as a wall of fire burst up out of the ground. Betting it was the brat child that shouldn't still be a thorn in her side she snarled, the cats around her edging away from her subconsciously. Mary-Ann was an old cat and a very powerful one at that. But that brat actually had shield powerful enough to defend against her ability and she wanted the lot of them to be gone for good. There where other cats with shields of course... but the O'Hara family specialised in them. The little brat probably didn't even know it.
She danced on the edges of the ensuring mess of a battle poorly planned. Waiting for an opportunity. Her men where unnerved by the large fire cat but she put it out of her mind. She moved to a position for Roxi to think she had the upper hand, not shocked when the younger feline slammed into her, she smiled internally as she suddenly whipped around shaking her free with blinding speed and striking out to slash the brat across her face. She could feel her husbands panic and knew he was on the way. She had to do as much damage as possible so the rest could kill the brat and she could escape leaving her husband none the wise of her involvement. She lunged in again aiming for Rox's face again, hoping to at least disable her slightly.
Ethan recognised the cat that Roxi was now on top of and was about to run over to separate the two Recognising it as his mother the seconds she felt the familiar emotions from her. He spotted short in confusion however when her intention crystallised in his mind. Whilst he was distracted another cat struck him from the side, its fur singed and eyes blazing fury, obviously a cat that had been burned by either Loki or Roxi and some point and they obviously weren't very happy about it. The cat took him down but he managed to shift his weight pretty quickly and scrambling to grab purchase of the other feline slashing with his claws and trying to get his fangs to its neck.

Well this was just bad luck mounting on bad luck. First Ethan, then werecats and now Ethan's mother and a shedload of werecats. The only up side Patrick could see was the discovery of his new ice armour. But with all the fire and heat any form of ice was next to useless now. Letting the ice melt from his body, Pat went back to the car and opened the boot.
Moving past the pistols and swords Pat found what he was looking for. Removing the sniper rifle he selected a mag of anti-coagulant bullets. ''Well at least if I miss they won't live long.''
Patrick then climbed the nearest tree to look for a target. Peering through the telescopic sight on the rifle he picked his first victim, a black and silver cat. Squeezing the trigger gently Pat saw blood spurt from the base of its skull.
Thoughts and emotions were flying absolutely everywhere now: confusion, anger, jealousy, pain. The pressure of it all was making Patrick's head spin. It was getting hard to see through the sight now and Pat narrowly missed Ethan before the rifle dropped from his fingers.
''God I'm tired.''
The new power surge had sapped Pat's strength more than he'd care to admit. The next thing he new he was on his back on the ground, staring up at the moon through the branches.
''Hell of a fight,'' he said before the darkness washed over him.
